I'm planning on heading down to Paeroa to watch the races on sunday.
Not sure if I'll go SH1-->SH2 or if I'll go clevedon/kawakawa bay/miranda etc.

Are there any other slower riders heading to Paeroa on sunday that want to meet up?

Why not just tag along with the other guys, I won't be setting any land speed records, but im gunna tag along. So there will be at least someone to keep yah company.

Maybe I will. I just thought they didn't want to have to wait for slower riders/bikes, so I figured there wouldn't be much point in taging along since I'd be so far behind.

I might be riding Logans 400 over - so if i am I wont be hooning, wouldnt mind a nice ride with someone over there.

by the sounds of it, there's going to be a wide range of bikes going, so I don't think anyone is going to be left solo from the 150s up to the thous.. If there's enuff bikes turning up, we could have a long convoy goin!

I'll probably be along with a couple of mates and we won't be breaking any land speed records either. We'll aim to meet up with the group at Clevedon at 9:30-9:45ish.

If the weather holds I will go down....as well.
But having read the other thread, it seemed like most are a lot faster than us....lol
I was thinking if no one else came up with it I would go down SH1 to SH2 and maybe meet up with all the others down there...
But will go with the flow...

so what sort of time were ya thinking?
and where to meet?

Where's me riding partner the king of slow "Judderbar"?
The queen of slow wants to know if he is going down there as well?

yea. i'm keen on going but don't want to be left behind as well. Don't want be riding solo and don't want to get lost either. I guess i'll just meet at Mt Wellington and see how it goes.

Right, seeing as there will be a few slower people on the ride, I'll meet up with you. (plus I can't think of a better route or time ;) )
I'll aim to be at Clevedon a bit before 9:30 so I can get gas.

Sorry crashe if you were hoping for a slow cruise down there.

Leave at 6:30 and even if going slow you'll still beat all the fast guys.... And get the best viewing spots at the track...:)

oh well I shall cruise on down at my own pace then down SH1 and then SH2... I dont want to be going over 100 - 110km on the straights.
And I am a lot slower on the windy's... so thats why I will go down via SH1 and SH2.

Well me and Crashe are meeting at Westgate outside BurgerKing at 8am. We will refuel at AB Papakura on the way through.

Anyone want to join us feel free otherwise bugger ya and we see ya down there

Hey you ladies .Check out the other thread... http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/showthread.php?t=8533 there seems to be a slowish young lady in need of some company. I'll also be going on the new bike so not to fast (ight open her up on a straight or 2 but cause of wind it get uncomfortable over like 120). Also Ck might be bringing his missus and she'll keep him in line but not to sure yet. Dont resign yourself to boring old SH1 and SH2 cause there are a few faster guys going. That's sacrilidge (spelling) :niceone: :niceone:

Sunday will be my 4th ride on the bike so I won't be setting land speed records.

I will try & be at Clevedon at 9:15 a.m. - if no one there will potter off on my own. I know the roads well - family had a farm at Clevedon - but have never ridden a bike in the area ( unless you count my RV90 ).
Which way do you go
- via Hunua , SH2, then the water trough turn-off or
- via Kawakawa Bay ??

Via Kawakawa Bay, down the Firth of Thames & Miranda. Well, not literally down the Firth, you need a boat for that, you know what I mean.

Roading update.

Rode down to Paeroa from Auckland via the most direct route SH2 across the plains this afternoon, no roadworks or other stuff to mention. what ever you plan on doing, have a great day when you get here.

Thanks for asking about her... thats really nice of you to remember.
She is now at home recovering after her emergency appendix operation last Sunday arvo...... Just managing to walk a short distance now each day and standing upright now. I get to look after my little grandaughter Mon to Fri from 7am to 4pm... as my daughter aint allowed to lift anything for 6 weeks. But she will be back driving again in another week.
