I have noticed that on a few rides and park ups that ppl seem to look at what u ride not what our passion is . And websites and on kiwibiker as i got a few friends that are on here when they talked to other members and riders they dont get replys or they get put down for what they ride .
As we all started on little bikes and face same hazzards as big bike riders:Playnice:
I will wave and talk to any rider no matter what they ride as even parked up and gave waves to 250cc riders and the grins they had made there day to see all big riders are not snobs:beer:
so how many small bikes and learners have you given the time of day and thumbs up.:Oi:

shaymas, old son, we're all up ourselves....You just have to get used to it!

The cruiser riders hate the sport bike guys, think they're better,
The sport bikers don't care about the Ducati guys,
The Ducati guys think a man who rides a Japper isn't much at all,
The Japanese machine riders are on the right track, of course,
The riders of Chinese motorcycles think they are the new wave,
The V-twin guys don't rate the in-line 4 guys, they suck!
The retro Triumph riders think it hasn't been done before,
The Harley guys....Keep left please!
And any combination that I haven't mentioned....

Mordeth13...I like that bit where he has an aggressive driver behind him so he just pulls over and lets him pass. Good riding skills. Why get into a pissing contest where the cager will win, even if he loses.

The cager will always win. Why? Because, he has a big-ass metal frame around him whereas a motorcyclist only has a singlet, pudding basin helmet, goggles up on the piss-arse helmet and not over his eyes, jandals, fingerless gloves (maybe) and a pair of "stubbie" shorts on, in the worst case scenario.

Ever had a wasp in the eye at 30 kph let alone 70 kph?

Noobs..Do you get it?

And the best case scenario is All Of The Gear All Of The Time but it's still just leather and/or kevlar which at the end of the day isn't a metal cage.

Hence the broken bones and pain and stuff.......

So use your brains and ride safely and think five seconds ahead on the road.

nice one you forgot the scooters that ride in middle of road in jandals and shorts:baby:

Hey Nico I saw that guy on the orange scooter that lives next to me (The house with the hill driveway just past me) try to corner fast into his driveway about an hour ago, complete with shorts, t-shirt and jandals. His back wheel slid out a bit and he put is foot on the deck, thus ripping the jandal clean off his foot as is footwear gripped the road and his foot kept going snapping the strap part. Wish I had a picture, the look on his face was priceless...

Having just upgraded from a little GN250 after 2 years , I have also noticed some bikers who are up them selves and judge others by what they ride.Having said that I have met more who return the wave ( I always try to wave) and more who have been helpful on KB than those who have not. I always try to be friendly and helpful. If one is to expend energy, why not use it to do good instead of bad.
Plus 1 on you for waving to others

Just because somebody rides a bike doesnt mean they like you, there is somewhat a brotherhood to biking, but car drivers dont all say hi to each other etc...

Some riders see this the same way. Prefer to just ride thier bike than be part of a community as such.

Each to thier own etc.

Eggszakery

Motorcycling is no different from most other human endeavours. the numbers of bikes maybe a relative minority compared to the numbers of cars but there is sufficent to cater to many different types of people with many different motivations for riding - some of which may not give a fuck about anyone elses ride or reasons.

it would be foolish to expect any different.

Some people are just up themselves.

Like yesterday I gave a BMW rider a wave, and he didn't wave back. So I turned around and chased him down (Easy, he was obeying the speed limit) and beat him to death with his own smarmy sense of self satisfaction.

It was then I noticed he had no left arm.

Served him right though. Pompous git.

It doesn't matter what you ride or what you wear or how you look or even what color you are, this world is full of different natured and mannered people whick makes living in this world such a fasinating place. Yes there are lots of people out there who think their shit dont stink and are better than you and i are but who cares as people like that are 1's I dont associate with purely because they are different natured to me and not the type of people who I feel comfortable being around.
So when it comes to what bike we ride lets remember that we all had to start of on a 250 while on our learners and alot of us these days cant afford or even fit onto a bigger cc bike, but we do have 1 thing in common and that is the enjoyment of being a motorcycle rider.
