GSXR brakes?

Hi, I have a 2007 GSXR1000 that I have ridden on the road, and has also seen maybe a dozen trackdays. Since doing the trackdays, I have fucked the front discs! ie if you put the front brakes on gently, and roll to a stop, it feels like you are gently putting the brakes on, then off, then on.....and applying the brakes heavily at speed is pretty rough! The bike is on standard discs and pads. And I weigh near on 140kgs! Although I hear Boomer had similar trouble, and I think his whole family weighs a little less than 140kgs!
Do I need aftermarket discs and pads, or would stock discs be fine with the right sort of pads? And if so, what sort of discs/pads?:confused:
And the other GSXR brake question is regarding a 1989 GSXR1100. I'm thinking of buying one and riding it at trackdays etc. Same question! Will I need aftermarket discs, and pads to ride it at the track, and if so, what sort?

At the price of new disk you might as well go for some brembo's.

I hear that the metalgear ones from aussie are pretty good for road and trackday use. They come with pads too and won't break the bank.

Definately warped rotors, depends how you ride them i guess bringing on gradually rather than stabbing the on from nothing everytime etc.

Boomer's old K7 GSXR1000 used to fall apart just sitting on it. Broke 2 subframes.

If you are going to be doing alot of trackdays etc i would take the other posters suggestion and just upgrade the lot.

Patrick, i got my brembo rotors from the states WAAAAAAy cheaper than stock replacement ones... and that and the vesrah pads were light and day difference to stock.

EBC Extreme Pro pads work really well in the GSXR, it would also pay to price a set of EBC discs which should be readily avaialble and competitively priced.

I talked to Holeshot today, and they told me that a pair of stock 1000K7 discs is $1100 for the pair, or $840 for a pair of Metalgear discs (including pads). I haven't had a look for Brembos for a while, but last time I looked they were about $1500ish. I think a separate plane was being chartered for them. What is the best place to get the Brembo discs from?

I got quoted $1500 for one Brembo disc for the Husky :gob: I respectfully declined :)
