Ok sorry not really bike stuff but can anyone help please.
I am trying to make a new saw Rip Fence for a large table saw and wanting to find some stiff aluminum extrusion and possibly some 10mm thick teflon strips to stick to it . Does anyone know a good place that isn't going to cost me a fortune in aucks
thanks sam
BMWST?

i know in welly that you can go to ulrich aluminium (large supplier of aluminium extrusions)and rumage through the offcut bin and by bits cheap....dunno about the teflon/nylon

try someone like mulford plastics for the teflon its expensive tho why not uhmwpe?
or hdpe
or HMWPE
Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE) is often referred to as the world’s toughest polymer. UHMWPE is a linear high density polyethylene which has high abrasion resistance, as well as high impact strength. UHMWPE is also chemical resistant and has a low coefficient of friction which makes it highly effective in a variety of applications.
HDPE
High Density Polyethylene
High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) is more rigid and harder than lower density PE’s. Its tensile strength is four times that of LDPE and its compressive strength is three times better. Compared to UHMWPE it has approximately 1/3 the wear resistance and 1/2 the impact resistance.
HMWPE
High Molecular Weight Polyethylene
High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (HMWPE) is a high density polyethylene with a molecular weight of 500,000g/mol. This gives it better wear, impact and abrasion resistance than HDPE but it does not achieve the superior performance of UHWMPE.
