Ive just tried to watch the new version of Knight Rider. The original was crap...but I was too young and deluded at the time, and I thought it was great. Oh how I laff when I see it..or hear the tune that goes with it. I cant waste anymore then 30 seconds on the new one. Kit doesnt look right...doesnt sound right, and somehow has transformer abilities. I didnt remember that in the original.
But it got me thinking. (Please bare/bear with me, ive just had another session with Dr Cuteness and still alittle groggy)
I want a helmet with the flashing red lights scrolling back and forth. Would it be legal in NZ? and were can I get one..or have one made up? Similar to the Brake light helmet..only on the front of the lid and going side to side like kits lights.

You either have to kill a Cylon and rip his head off, or cut a slot / drill some holes in your helmet and mount one of these (http://www.jaycar.co.nz/productView.asp?ID=kj8236&CATID=&keywords=knight+rider&SPECIAL=&form=KEYWORD&ProdCodeOnly=&Keyword1=&Keyword2=&pageNumber=&priceMin=&priceMax=&SUBCATID=) in it.

Not if red lights are facing forwards.
(excluding our emergency services of course)

Are blue lights legal? I see lots of hoodie types with them on their car bonnets instead of windscreen washer things.

Blue might be ok because they can't be mistaken for tail lights. I suspect there would be a problem if someone thought they were dangerous, maybe blinding an oncoming driver. I know some of the blue LEDs can be pretty bright. Presumably they aren't flashing either.

Not quite legally correct imho. They cant be on a vehicle facing forward, but ones head is hardly a vehicle is it :sherlock:

If you track down, kill and then rip the head off a Cylon to wear as hat then you aren't going to give a fuckery about any softcock laws about flashing lights.

I could be wrong here but in the case of a motorcyclist I wouldn't be surprised if it is considered part of the motorcycle. But you are more than welcome to argue the point on the side of the road if you wish :)

Now this is a good point. Well spoken Headbanger.
