Then how gay am I.

Just scored a VFR400R 1992 to use as a road/race bike. I'm so excited, that I just can't fight it, I know I know I know, I know I want you I want you.

Still have my early 90's Prelude, and my CBR250RR which is now for sale (is the 4th CBR250RR that I've owned and none of them have failed apart from the one I bought for spares, it was HDTboy's so it never had a chance).

I've also owned 2x '03 CBR600RR, one race and one road one. Just racing for pure pleasure these days, and trying to keep costs down, hence the bullett proof vfr's and cbr250's.

I might move down south in about a month or two and try some club racing, but first I'm going to break my street racing cherry on Paeroa on my new love the VFR. Heavy but doesn't feel it, and skinny so no ground clearance issues.

the honda bikes are fine

its the Honda Cars that are base spec but covered in TYPE R stickers and a fake Turbocharger blow off valve sound driven by pasty white guys that think they are all that and a bag of chips with their "NY" gangsta hat on backwards driving one handed while lying on the floor of the car

that's where Honda gets its "gayness" :girlfight:

Hey matey, that Prelude does a 14.8 second quartermile, but it's not like she's pretty (apart from being lowered and on 17's)so she probably doesn't fit into your ricer rant. And I spoke to a couple of guys who came to look at buying the CBR600RR and they'd got down to 1.12 on Pukekohe in a civic type R. The cars are really good too.

But yes, lame hondas stickered up are amusing.

1 x Honda Super Cub
1 x Honda Civic
and last but not least,
1 x Honda Lawnmower (it's even fookin' red)

Congrats mate, I thought you were in Ausi still? Look forward to seeing how you go at Paeroa...I am looking at a CBR400rr that I might enter in...depends on how things go in the next week or so...currently it is sitting rusting outside and hasn't run in over a year.

Hey Brett, yeah I think the CBR400RR is an equal match for the VFR. They don't seem to mind sitting round for a year too much. As long as they are garaged. Usually need a carb clean. My CBR250RR wasn't going when I got back, had to strip it back to the carbs. A friend of mine had used it to get his licence and somehow the idle screw was screwed in to max (way to high for starting) and the choke screw had fallen off WTF? Put her back together, and I'm going to be really sad to see the 250 go. I still love her. I didn't want to ride her too much, because she runs so perfect I don't want to let her get old. I'll probably get the same about the VFR after a while. Seems silly when you go out and race them.

Got back from Aussie about a month ago. Did a bit of racing and loved it, so I thought time to step up to a VFR400, so much cheaper on tyres and fuel, and so reliable, and so much harder to crash than supersport bikes.

Bah - I had a Suzuki AD50, Ducati 600ss, Honda Hornet 919, KTM SM990 and a Ford Falcon in my garage when I woke up this morning.

I sold the scooter though so I lost 2Kw on the total hp...:(

You've got a KTM 990 SM? Any good, or is it too torquey. I would have thought a 550 motard would be ample to do stupid stuff on.

You should see inside our garage. Dad's also got an 08 Hayabusa, and an 07 DL1000, just sold the 04 CBR600RR yesterday, so we've lost about 100 rwhp from our total, but then gained about 50rwhp with the VFR. So an overall loss of 50rwhp, but I think an increase in rideability.

I took Chrislost's one for a ride around Manfeild and with those low pegs there were big ground clearance issues...no issue but just meant that you had to get your body off a LONG way to the inside. Rearsets would be nice though. Turn in was unbelievable! Very fun to ride, I'm sure you'll love it on the track.

1.12 on Pukekohe in a civic type R. The cars are really good too.

.

From experience, I've found you have to add between 2 and 6 seconds to the Puke time that just about anyone tells you they do :p

but it's not like she's pretty...
Quite! That needs a good cut-and-polish, for sure!!

Look after that Viffer!
Apears to be in quite nice condition.

You've got a KTM 990 SM?
Ask him if he owns it...

totally agree with you there - the cars are fine too its what the owners do to them is what irks me - the "R" spec hondas i have a lot of respect for and a friends prelude scares the pants off me - its the idiots that have a base model non VTEC integra and go and slap "DOHC VTEC" and "type R" stickers on them and try and race people at the lights that irritate me to no end

its a shame these people are overshadowing the sensible ones like yourself :weep:

Nice bike, good luck at Paeroa. Won't it be a bit slow after the mighty power of the Suzuki :innocent:

I haven't spent enough consecutive time on 600's to fully get used to the power. It does feel quite tame because it's got a lazy power curve though, I think I prefer the peakiness of the CBR250RR, it will be fun and safe racing.

As camp as a row of tents

Seriously though, nothing really wrong with honda bikes. It's their car's I can't stand. They make great engines, it's their body work thats shite. I suppose with a bike, there's bugger all body work anyway, & it's mostly plastic!

Enjoy the new bike, & have fun at Paeroa!

your gayness may be due to the fact that you race with an intention to win, And when in the lead your butt is the focal point of the pursuing pack:banana: Why blame hondas
