Arrrrggggghhhhhh! A combination of wind and a scooter parked beside my bike meant it's been knocked over again! :brick: Waaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhh!! I could see it from work and ran down to pick it up but, by the time I got there it had been picked up, as had the trail bike that was blown over as well, the scooter was gone so maybe it was the scooter rider who did it. Bless them!

Sorry to hear about your misfortune!

Thanks for the warning though. I've shifted mine to a more sheltered spot.

Is there any where else you could park ya bike without it being blown over all the time..... surely there must be a safe non-windy st in Wellington somewhere??????

You could always chuck the bike on it's centerstand, when I had a '83 CB250RS many moons ago, the centerstand was rock solid...

Well it was on the centre stand the last time it got blowed over. Thats why I had put it on the side stand. Oh well. Minimal damage and she still goes! :niceone:

You can park in the james smith council carpark for free, just ride around the barrier and there's a bike park under the spiral ramp in the middle. Nice and sheltered :D

Not good Cathy, I feel for you! Only, it's not fair. Your bike falls over and it's super minimal damage. If mine had to get blown over, I'd have to (first buy a house) and then RE-mortgage it to pay for repairs!

Glad it's minimal, I bet you wouldn't even notice it!

A bit off topic, but a couple/few years ago a Blackbird got stolen from there - there is video camera surveillance but I understand that the Council (or whoever runs the show) wouldn't release the tape to the ex-owner (I think that was how it went). He never saw it again.

CSL, really sorry to hear about Betty.

Dear Lynda...

(Off topic and as an aside...) Do you and Hamish never sleep?? Or do you work nights? I note your post above is timed at 05.04 !!

I know KB can be addictive, but that's ridiculous lol

And the Plimmer Steps car park (off Boulcott St) has bike parks near the exit, not sure of these are free or not.

Hamish sleeps "normal" hours, I go to bed early and get up early. I think it's my dairy farming upbringing.

CSL: sorry for the hijack....
