It was me that got Dom ( and his folks money) to the USA in the first place, so no way would I help him with a back ward step, and I am not just focused on a NZ title, ( They are worth nothing apart from the achievent to the rider0

My focus with the new rider is to share my knoledge and contacts and help the guy grow, which is going to be extremelly easy with him, as he already really has his shit together, and will be very easy to market.

He will be my next Kiwi to get over to the states

What goes around comes around

I have 2 fantastic sponsor in place to support us here in New Zealand with product already, and will find more in time.

Well Glen's got that K5 with the K6 front end off you to race Shaun. So he's already making the step up. I have no idea how he's going to afford it though. But he's very driven and will make it work, he seems to be able to find the limit of his bikes very quickly, which is the key to being fast. Could definitely do with the assistance though. Also he's very young, and currently on peanut wages for his engineering apprenticeship.

Also he's very young, and currently on peanut wages for his engineering apprenticeship. That's all so true. I haven't seen such drive and focus in someone so young before. He even sold his road bike to buy the 600 as his 'next step' for his racing. That's dedication. I know first hand how hard he is working at making his racing opportunities happen.

Jason Hulme IS LOCKED IN anyway as far as I am concerned! Fact

He was already on one of my bikes when shit happened for him

I will do ALL I can for him when the man is good to go again, he has the very best attitude to this game that I have seen in the country for a very long time, next to (LG) Choppa

Yes there was a lot of talk about him from me, especially when I should have been locked away due to my head injury at the time!

I have a huge amount of resect for Sam and his tallent, and would happily work with him, but will not chase him, I have gotten to know him now rather well now, so if he wants my help, it s up to him to ask and commit totally to me and my team.

You win the tyres man!

Glen Skatchill is the rider I have decided to help as much as I can, the details of support etc are to be finalised between Glen and myself.

Glen is entered for the 4th round of the NZ champs at manfeild on 13-14-15th of Febuary, this will be our first time working together, and as the weekend progresses, we will build an agreed plan for the Vic winter series and the summer champs I hope.

Glen was bloody fast and smooth. I was very impressed. Times were on both on board lap timer and my stop watch with-in a tenth of each other. Still a bit of set up changes that could be done as I am about 25kgs heaver than Glen and we were using used tyres all day.
He went so fast I now have to decide if he should ride manfield as well as Puke as having me wobble around 3 seconds slower is a bit of an insult to the bike.
Also anyone out there that has a few dollars they would like to invest in a young guy Glen needs all the help he can get!! It is very hard to go racing on $12 per hour apprentice wages!!
I will be helping him out as much as I can But you need cash to pay for Entries and fuel!!
I Am looking foward to watching Glen's Progress over the next year.

Thanks for all the support and the positive feed back.

I'm taken back and somewhat speechless at the support that people like Chris and Shaun and many others have given me, and I will forever be thankful for it.

I can't wait for the season/s ahead and really look forward to improving myself a lot more as a rider both on and off the track.

Hey Barry,

Nothing's happened with my tie up with Stevey. The idea of MotoAcademy is to help riders develop skills and move forward

I think Steve is quite happy to see something coming from his help to me as it fulfills the purpose of Moto Academy which he has put a great deal into.

Bloody good work guys. You're definitely putting your money in the right place by backing Glen. Having seen him in action and spent some time getting to know him I'm sure that he is exactly what a sponsor would want in a racer.

He is consistent, learns new bikes and tracks with ease, is approachable and a is generally just a nice guy.

I will be watching you with great interest mate! Better get some life insurance bro, your babies are going to be in high demand very soon! :niceone:
