Well I didn't think I would be doing this but I need to sell my race bike. Due to a change in circumstances (job loss) I can't afford to race this any more. So thought now is the ideal time to sell it with the Vic Club trackday this coming weekend and the pacific series the following weekend and then the Vic Club winter series just round the corner.
It's a GSXR 600 K1 model (1st of the fuel injected ones). Previously it has been raced by Hayden Fitzerald and his sponsor at the time.
Yoshi Full Exhaust System
Yoshi EMS
Ohlins Shock (Serviced mid 07 by Robert Taylor)
RaceTec parts in the front end (Serviced mid 07 by Robert Taylor)
Braided front lines
Aftermarket air filter
Currently Shod with Pirelli SuperBike Slicks (semi worn)
SBS Dual Carbon Brake pads (~1/3 worn)
Yuasa battery (new mid 07)
Tons of spares available including fairings, tank, subframes, sprockets, rims (with discs),rear sets, clip ons, dry & wet tyres and probably lots more stuff I can't think of at the moment. Price is negotiable depending on what I sell it with but I'm thinking somewhere between $6k-$10k ish might be reasonable???
Rego is on hold on this so it potentially could be put back in to a road bike but I don't have any of the road gear.
Bike is currently in Bulls where I am for my "extended holiday" this week. But most of my spares in New Plymouth. If required I could get the bike ready to ride for Vic Club trackday this coming weekend and even take it to Manfeild.

No way dude this is shit news!
Are you getting a cheaper bike to race in the short term?
Either way, someone is going to get a lot of bike for their money.

Yeah all a bit disappointing but that's life I guess.
At this stage will just keep my road bike and putt round on the motoX bike for my thrills.

Fair enough, at least you are still on two wheels.
You should bring it to the vic club track day and put a sign on it or something.

Really sorry to hear David. Lifes a bit of a rollercoaster sometimes eh. Hope something good comes up so you don't have to sell it.

Yeah really sorry to hear about the bad news. Hopefully this is an opportunity for something new ... job wise and later a newer bike
In the 2-3 sessions I've ridden it around Manfield and Taupo it handled really well and never misbehaved when I got a little bit more enthusiastic. Power delivery is smooth and never missed a beat.

Yeah might try and do that if I don't get any offers before then. May even take it for one last ride :bye:.

Thanks guys for the support - hopefully I can get another job in the not too distance future.
This bike sounds like the ideal way to get into racing or move up to 600's from one of the other classes :niceone:.

or owning clubmans...nothing wrong with that. alot of riders make a career out of it! and for 6k with two sets of tyres and a brand new rear wet...every gearing option in sprockets + spares.... 6k makes for a cheap as shit race/trackday bike!!
