I've just purchased a Suzuki FXR150 with the intention of bucket racing it. Has anybody ever sourced alternate front sprockets for this bike? I'm after a 12 or 13T (instead of the standard 14T) to gear it down a little for better acceleration. I've tried Colemans Suzuki & several wholesale importers without success. Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks

About bloody time SOMEONE did. Well done. Have they changed the four-stroke displacement limit yet, or will you have to sleeve the cylinder down to 140cc?

Sorry, can't help, but best of luck. It'll be a right wheelie monster when you get that on :niceone:

There have been 2 FXR150s racing in Auckland for the past year, but they have not been eligible for championship points due to being bigger than 140cc. I am working on getting the 4-stroke capacity limit increased to 150cc, but if that fails then I'll have to sleeve it down.

What happened when I got my chain changed from a 420 to a 520 was the shop (cycle treads chch) looked up in the book what the inner spline was for my cbr, then looked for a sprocket with required pitch & No. of teeth with the same spline connector. The ones they got in fitted perfectly first time.

After failing to find anybody listing FXR150 sprockets (other than the standard Suzuki 14T) I decided I'd better remove my sprocket & try to match it up. Lo & behold it had the same spline as my Yamaha TZR50!!! :2thumbsup
So now I have a range of sprockets from 11T to 14T that fit. All that's needed is a washer to pack out to the correct thickness as the standard FXR sprocket has a wider stepped centre. :done:

Hey Dave, good to see you on the forum.
PS: There may be a reasonable amount of guys coming up for the GP 50 class, Me, Hamish, Steve & possible Jay, which should give us all a hurry up. I'll try to convince Darrin as well.
