Was pootling between Pirongia and Te Awamutu this am and was passed by some dude on a Harley, quickly followed by another dude in a Mazda RX8...both going at some rate of knots....how fast? Well I don't know 'cause when I tried to clock them I made no impression on the ever increasing distance even at (coughcough)km/hr.....so I just settled back down and enjoyed the ride. Hope they made it to the fire they must have been going to.........

Does there really need to be a new thread every time someone speeds or makes a dodgy pass, or doesn't wave, or doesn't wear atgatt?

Welllll that may not be true - I just decided not to try after a certain point, in view of the fact that the road goes past many farm gates and previous experience suggests that the likelihood of Farmerrr Browwwnnnn pulling out on his tractor is a little higher than zero......

So if said Farmer Brown pulled out in front of said motorcyclist would it then be a tractor v tractor crash?

hahaha - I like that!
Some time ago I came round a corner to find Mrs Farmer Brown using the road as a headland for her ride on mower......now she got more of a scare than I did...(I had seen the fresh cut grass on the road...)

Do you really have to read all the new threads and comment on them?
Thought not.

Oh I think we all like to make fun of them. I know a guy has one and he thinks it's great....he's an ex moto x rider with the dubious claim to fame of "having crashed every bike I ever owned...". But he hasn't crashed the Harley...yet.
I did notice that the guy this morning slowed way down when he did reach a corner...even more than I do and that is saying a LOT!

I must test ride one, although my hump-back racing gears would look a little daft on a harley

Reminds me of a near thing awhile back, having some fun on a backroad when i came across a tractor in the distance, there was a gorse hedge partly obscuring my view but as i got closer as he rounded a bend i could see there was nothing coming the other way and took the bend wide as to pass the tractor, what i didnt see was the bloody wide set of discs he was towing:wacko:

You are going too slow mate
Your not a Nanna are you.?
Bikers should not have cars pass them and as for a Harley, you could have blown him to the weeds. You must be the only SV in the country that has had a Harley pass them.

Tractor vs tractor lol niiice.Sure but atleast spice the story up to make it not so repetitive. Like the harley rider had a 10 year old pillian wearing nothing but shorts or how he was sitting on the front wheel of a scooter doing a 100kmph stoppie past a bus load of burning nuns.. Or sumthin:confused:
