OK. To save PMing everybody who's shown an interest over the past couple of months, here's the pricing for new Triumphs.

The Sprint ST which is VERY highly anticipated $20790 +orc (this does NOT include factory luggage)

The new Speed III only $19999 + orc

And the Daytona 650 only $16600 + orc.

I'm sure you'll agree, this is bloody good value and well done to Triumph NZ for having such competetive pricing.

Not necessarily. Particularly not if their friendly Triumph dealer did a straight swap for a low km ST1300 with a new screen...

You know what the best thing about knowing you is, Hitcher? I can actually spell necessarily now.

You drive far too hard a bargain.

(But I DO appreciate the business. Thanks mate.)

No I wouldn't.

Even as a lover of all things Honda - I also admit to getting a mild erection at the slightest mention of the new Sprint ST.

Ooops, excuse me - I need to use the bathroom.

There are pills to help with that now, you know.

They're called Asprin. You put one in your shoe. It makes you limp.

It's a stunner isn't it. Nicked design cues from Aprilia and MV and made it look better than the Futura.

Back off you buggers I saw them first. Triumph customers get preferential queuing rights. That pricing is well in the hunt, all praise to the strong Kiwi $.

A demo SpeedNipple. Kept that little gem under your belt didn't ya. I can see your cunning plan. It's going to take you three months to carefully run it in before anyone else can 'safely' test ride it. Yeah right Jimmie, just looking after your customers wellbeing- hand over those keys mate and your licence, there's no way you are going to behave on one of them

I'm still a bit disappointed with the Daytona pricing here in NZ. It's quite a lot cheaper than its 600 rivals both in England and Aussie, but it's much of a muchness over here. :(

Good news though. I'm in the process of sorting out my debt before I move to Te Puke NEXT WEEK! :gob: Then I can start saving for my new red Daytona. :D

Sprint ST`s getting rave reviews over here.(From the same places that slated the original Daytona)If Triumph dont stuff up they can hit Honda hard with this one as the V-Tec 800 is not as popular as older VFRs and has got quite a lot of bad press from disgruntled owners.

Biff

I honestly think the new ST is quite possibly the best looking bike on the market at the moment. With the possible exeption of the MV1000 F4S.

The reviews have been great so far. It looks like it's gonna kick the arse out of a VTEC VFR in terms of handling and performance. I want one.

If only Ms Biff would drop these wedding plans...............

So Moku are the new models already in the showrooms over there? There seems to be a drought on bike mags downunder at the moment. The usual Dec-Jan shutdown has dragged right through Feb with no new mags/tests to read. What new models have been road tested in your mags.

Yeah about six months.

Actually I was thinking of getting the speed III as well as keeping the gixxer.

Just lump it on to the old mortgage.

OK, time for a dissenting voice. The Sprint has nasty plasticky instrument bezels and it'll fry your thighs in traffic.
Speed Triple looks like they degigned the middle and ran out of time to do the ends.
But I do liiiike them.

Someone once said "Never buy a bike that you can't lift from its side onto its wheels in case you bin it and can't ride home". I'd have to put in a lot of gym hours to even contemplate getting one of them back on its feet.

You'll be surprised what adrenaline and sheer pissed-offedness can achieve, as I found out Tuesday night. No damage though, gotta love naked bikes.
