I agree with EJK, it sound's very much like a scam to me. There are far too may stages in the process that would kill maggots or eggs and as they're made as they go I'd doubt the assembler of the burger would let something like that go, unless he/she knew something we didn't:sherlock:

As far as the maggots go, that's even less likely. They wouldn't have time to have been laid, hatched and started chomping down. Reckon they were just after a quick buck or a better hand out.

Maybe he put the fresh one down but picked up the three day old one that was still rolling around in his car...

Not ...but I have apparently tried cicada muffins. Nothing to write home about. Roast the soft young cicada, then pound them into a fine meal, use as you would flour. :sick: I guess you could do the same with maggots.

Even had the bug man saying the larvae could find their way in as he removed the gherkin,they are quick to hatch etc.

Seems highly unlikely the way they cook the burglars now days that contaminants get into the food,but we wait till it is tested and results come back.
