I've always wanted to try something like this.
I departed Hedgehog Bikes in Takapuna at 5:25 this evening with Mrs Random, in the car, pulling out into the traffic beside me.
A quick cheeky wave and it's off I am a-filtering.
Arrived home in Te Atatu at 5:55, gave her a call on her mobile...
She's only halfway across the harbour bridge. :2thumbsup

Funny you should say that - it's our fifth anniversary tonight (we had to move the obligatory dirty weekend in Rotovegas to Sunday/Monday, though, due to lack of available babysitting).
But I still don't have to cook; we're having dinner with her parents. Eventually. When she gets home.

Riding a bike is always a peak time for me matey.
Just added a heat baffle to le Voxan's RH header so that I don't cook my ankle and shin when I'm in dawdling traffic in the heat of the day and she is just pumping the hots with only low speed airflow to encourage them.
Why dawdle?
A man has to show off his kit somehow don't he?

When I went through the Matchless Motorcycle School in 1983 (?) one of the rules they drummed into us was never to weave though traffic cos not only does it piss drivers off, it's illegal too!!! Having said that....rules are made ot be broekn aren't they??? :whocares:

Yes, I was the chap with the red Yamaha parked out front, wearing a smelly black Orina jacket and wobbling around the shop on a GT Avalanche loudly opining on the flaws of all the mountain bikes that were too expensive for me.
And yes, Mrs Random's present is a push bicycle. That was what the MTB thread was for. It wasn't a 'surprise' present, just an 'oh, look, let's spend $1,200 on something that YOU want, m'dear' kinda present.
(Thus the Fiendish Random Man sets up for the Z1000 coming down the driveway next January...)
