Brake disc straightening?

I know that the guy from Motorcycle Doctors(Auckland) can do it but he is booked out this week. I need it done this week for a track day.

I didn't think that it could be done too successfully. I 'warped' a set hitting a dog a few years back. Three people had a go at straightening them, but all it took was a few hard rides, then they'd 'pop' back to their previous warpes shape.
Also, I think on the F1 Engineering site, they say that they can't straighten discs that have been warped due to excessive heat.
Anybody had success straightening discs?

Just pack em nice. I have had a couple of sets of EBC prolites sent from the UK with no problems.
A couple of layers of bubble wrap and a a cardboard box is all they had.

Cold straightening proberly wouldn't work because as soon as they heated up they would warp again.Would need to straighten them and heat treat them while holding them straight .

Sounds like allot of effort, surely new (or 2nd hand) discs would be close to fixing them?

i bent my dirtbike front disc straight again using nothing but an adjustable spanner

didn't even have to take it off :D

seriously though, i've got an nc30 disc sitting in my shed and it would be handy if it was straight - how much does it cost? spanner didn't fix it....
