Wandering along the street into work this morning
I notice the besuited, gloveless rider of a little silver scoot
He takes off from the lights and the scoot is absolutely silent. Its electric and pulling away well.
The moment is broken by the rather unpleasant squeak of his brakes
Then a vespa blasts through - pretty sure it was an early original - either that or a very good retro lookalike.
A sweet two-stroke motor with an italian chainsaw sort of exhaust note being worked - and with a nice popping as the rider buttons off
Suddenly there is a huge bark beside me and a new Trumpet (Thruxton I think) blasts past. Not quite the same as a bevelhead Ducati with Conti's but pretty close
And all of them put a smile on my face as I strolled into the office
