I have a Suzuki AN125. I like it but would like to get more power out of it, especially going up hills where the speed drops off quite dramatically. From 95km/hr to 60. Any ideas?

NOS.
Eat fewer pies.
A turbocharger.
A supercharger.
A turbocharger, NOS AND a supercharger.
More air in the tyres.
A JATO rocket strapped to the back.
Helium in the tyres.
A GSXR1000RR strapped to the back.
A Morris Minor strapped to the back.
Tie it between two bicycles, with some massive-thighed rugby players on P frantically pedalling.
Mind altering droooogz (so you think you're going faster, or at least enjoy the trip more).

That's it.
(Haven't run out of broooliunt ideas yet - just bored).

Well it looks like there's a PM Tuning Variator (https://www.pmtuning.co.uk/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=PT&Product_Code=04-PO241_620&Category_Code=00217125AN) Upgrade available.

It might be that you could replace the barrel and piston and take it up to 150cc too (extrapolating from the fact that the above link mentions 125/150 cc Epicuro), or maybe try the wreckers and swap the whole motor for a 150 although than can lead to problems with electricals...

Just buy a bigger one. As it is, it'll last for ever if you look after it.

Once you start the slippery slope of making it go a bit faster, there's no going back..

A GSXR1000RR strapped to the back.

I can help you here if need be.

its tricky with 4 stroke scooters, a they arn't generally restricted at all,
you could put on a free'r flowing exhaust and possibly upjet the carb a little,
maybe even increase the size of the intake from the air filter,
but i doubt you'd gain more than a hp or 2,
changing the variator rollers may help with maintining the speed at the hills at a loss of accelleration,

i'd say your best bet for real power would be a new barrell and piston,
or a 1mm rebore will bring it upto about 130cc, with the right fuelling you could get a bit more out of it,

basically you are stuck with what you have, unless you want to spend time or money or both on it

Thanks for your replies. It looks like I am stuck with what I've got but not to worry I like the bike very much.

you could most likely buy a new carb with an accelerator pump to get better throttle response :wari:Riding habits can rob horsepower and to go up a hill fast you need to go downhill even faster
