Hi I'm now in Christchurch.
Now where do I start...

This photo was taken in Albany

Day 1

It was Friday, the day I left Auckland however due to my parent's chat with their friends, I didn't leave till 1pm. Sad....

Well this time since it was my way down to Christchurch, my parents followed me in their car. However they didn't follow me all the way. We set our destination for the day and I was on my own.

Nothing much happened on that day, just a short ride to reasons:

One
Me: "Hey mum, I don't want to stress on the delivery bike, lets do less than 300kms a day"
Mum: "OK"

Two
A friend of my parent's were living in Hamilton and we got a little invite.

No sign of the Mormons btw...

Day 2

Today was an exciting day. Exreme pity that I forgot to take my tripod with me, so I couldn't video the ride from Hamilton to Taupo. However the scenery was beautiful! So many tall pine trees. Fresh breeze and a nice weather :sunny:

When I got to Taupo, my breath was taken away by the view of the lake.

<img src="http://img228.imageshack.us/img228/4208/pic025kz5.jpg" width=600>

Now lets think... What else happened on that day... Oooh yes, the Chateau. After a lunch in Taupo, we discussed a place to stay that night, and the Chateau Tongariro was. Well the accomodation was under "Travel Cost" by the new job my dad's got so all was cool

<img src="http://img244.imageshack.us/img244/3874/pic053wp4.jpg" width=400> <img src="http://img229.imageshack.us/img229/1779/pic086rq2.jpg" width=400>

The place was quite nice. It was not the tourist season so we got the Premium room for the price of the cheap one.

After a little quick snack, I noticed that I got the whole sunlight to play with, I decided to go upto the ski field...

And Oh My God the road was beautiful!

Day 3

It rained that morning. I had a waterproof jacket however I was wearing Draggin Jeans. It was quite cold, all the wind and the rain on Desert Road. It started out bad however on the other hand, I was so excited to meet the Welly KB Celebrities! What a shame that my parents took the camera that day...

So there at the Manfeild Track I met the whole Welly KB Celebrities, including Sully60, Number One, Trudes, Kendog, Str8 Jacket and Koba. It was quite amazing to see the whole celebs gathered together.

It was also very nice to briefly meet the other KB legends: Skunk, Her_b4 and Flame.

What else happened that day... Ah yes, when I met Str8 Jacket, then it began to feel that the bike wasn't mine anymore. Well I got the deposit however still I was riding it, since made me feel like the bike was still mine. However when she (no offence but just saying ;)) said "My new bike.... My new bike...." I began to feel that I no longer owned a bike. Didn't see that comming... Hmmmm... It did feel quite sad...

After the trackday, we chat a little and had dinner together. Then Str8 Jacket and Malcom dropped me off infront of the Botany Garden to finish off the day.

1. No maggots!
2. At the Chateau
3. Me and my mother, she liked the place very much! Later she told me that now her son can take her places to places.
4. Rain on the next day...
5. Current Desktop Background
6. One shot in Taupo

Day 4

It was a crap day. We caught the ferry and went across the sea. When I reached South Island, I felt really shit.
While driving down the East Coast, the scenery and the road were Beautiful! The hills and sea made a great harmony. It really sucked that I was watching this from inside of a car. I wanted to seal my eye lids. Every scene was a torture without a bike...

Nothing much happened after that. Just same ole town Christchurch. The new house is quite nice.

For now thats all I can think of. I will upload the pictures and a short video soon :)

Good to meet the legend that is EJK too - even if it was too brief. That's the trouble with volunteering to help run meetings.

Ahh the padawan EJK has left the fold to chart his own destiny in other climes! Rest assured, I will be returning to those fair lands to ride it the way I like to ride! :scooter:

Mayhap I shall espy an EJK one of those days, and hopefully on a bike he too can play!

Good to hear you enjoyed your ride down and sharing experiences with parents, those times get to be treasured as you launch your own life adrift from them!

Yeah it's quite a nice road for a summer ride. Though being so high up you could feel the power dropping off. Still one of my favourite pics even tho its about 3 years old now. Combines riding with skiing :)
