Road works warning - Whitford (22 Jan)

Went for a ride today before work ( 22nd ) out to clevedon from howick. Road that takes you to Whitford round about has a massive stretch of gravel. The last bit of the road thats all down hill is gravel goes quite a way. Also when i got to twilight road it on twisties there was a stop sign an around corner i could see a digger so maybe a slip on that road.

I think you mean West Road. Almost the entire stretch of flat road on the Clevedon side is now gravel.

Na looked it up in map the road im talking about is whitford road

They have to do them, but road works are a pain, eh? I was grinding the pegs up in the Waitakeres last week - 8 corners on the Scenic Drive have new gravel, West Coast Rd has wet tar, Waitakere Rd had fresh lime - took over an hour to clean the crap off :(

But at least they sorted the crap on the clevedon kawakawa bay rd that was around last week:2thumbsup
