Karma settles it's debt.

Guys I've just heard some wonderful news on the Bat phone, I've gotta tell someone and your it.

Once in your life, if your lucky, you meet someone outstanding, I did and in a rare moment of sanity I asked her to Mary me, in a rare moment of foolishness she said yes.

Her name is 'The Bride', you may remember her from such films as the Bride shaves her hair for charity. After 18 years as a soldier on the front line of mental health, she was seconded to Uni for 3 years to become a Staff Nurse..At the age of 45! 6 years and 2 countries later my shy little babe applied for a senior managerial position within mental health.

Little to no formal education, born on the wrong side of Town, a woman that has always put the patients first and chucked two fingers up at the establishment whenever her charges were treated unfairly, always been there for anyone that needed her, not a career woman just your every day good guy.

Hot off the press....20 odd candidates, all superior to her in her opinion, 5 weeks of study and self doubt, rivals claiming the job was already theirs and that she had no chance, Sleepless nights and...

She only went and F#cking did it!!, blew them all into the cosmos, my woman, my Bride and the best most deserving selfless farking Nurse in the world, finally got paid what karma owed her.

I'm so fooking proud I could cry. At a Girl.:love:

As always, so many good people and so many good wishes, thank you all.

If you could see the smile on her face as she left for work this morning you'd understand how much it means to her, always working hard in the shadows, always the underdog to her siblings in her parents eyes,Devoted mother of seven children,Friend to every one in need, literally the wind beneath everybody elses wings, she finally gets her chance to fly. Flame on Babe! x

Yeah good one her, that is awesome, and really cool that you could write about it and tell us.

And, most sincere thanks for working in that area so I don't have to. I know a couple of mental health nurses and they sound just like her.

Awesome stuff.

It is really lovely to see a man being proud of his mate, makes me all gushy (and a bit envious). And, it sounds like somewhere has managed to get themselves an experienced manager, the best one for the job knows what it's like at the coalface.

Congratulations to The bride and you for supporting your beloved, as I can relate in some way after so many years of slaving away at the coalface, that I have finally found a job that I really enjoy. Karma certainly rewards people who have the patience and work hard on what they are trying to achieve.
Well done and good luck for the future.:niceone:

Mate - she's lucky to have you, and you her. So great to see the pride in her achievement from ya, and the humbleness from yerself when people are patting your back too. Quite refreshing, really !

So what happened to the great KB knockin' machine ??
Who cares.....
