A group of us went from Hammy to Whangamomona, for the Republic day. After we left for Stratford to return via Awakino, we came upon some slower traffic, including a police car. Someone at the front stopped and let us through, including the cop and a short way down the road, the cop pulled up to let us through - big wave.
I managed to get away from my mates and there was no sign of them so I stopped. Cop car arrives and tells me my mates had stopped for a drink.
Really nice to see a biker friendly cop - didn't want to spoil our fun. Thank you!

Prolly 'cos you weren't hooning. If you had it tapped, he would've nailed yr ass to the wall and said "your mates will be next" ....lol:yes:
Yeah, good to see they can be human sometimes.... I had one near Blenhiem chat to me on my Duke one day when I was stopped in the middle of no-where, just to see if my bike was okay. Hey c'mon man, it's a Ducati not a Triumph! I was waiting for the GF to catch up in her car, and yes, I had been hooning. Just luck really, all about timing innit?
