our small group headed up mt dick, a few of you will know where i mean. out back carterton.
today view was outstanding, well over 100km clear view north east and south. got to summit decided to head off other side (west) down a couple old forest tracks, heavly over growen, you get to a point when you think to your self, ( well how i did i get here, how am i going to get out. ) my self , shiney new dr650 and bill, a trusty ktm625.
bush bashing our hearts :shit: out down hill......i came a drift :gob: scratched my new bike, broke the camera ( lost all the pics) and smashed my phone, bugger.... managed to get out again, sweating like hell marry on heat.... i got to get new tires, not realiy big bike country, but we had to have a go aye.
got across a small river slippery slimey rocks made interesting riding, bmw x 650 had joind in for a ride, headed deep in to private forest block ,the track just seamed to go on and on and on, fuel low, time running out, we turned back, only to return another day.

with another camera......
sunday ride in the wairarapa. see below as i managed to save some pics before camera died,

I saw that overgrown track off the summit of Mt Dick when MarkS, Andy & I went up there after our Orongorongo ride - WELL overgrown! :niceone:

Hey if the new DR has scratches then you must be using it for adv rides. Goes with the territory I guess! Good on ya!

Scratched my new KLX good 'n proper within the first week - I just thought "well if I'm going adventure riding it's gonna happen sooner or later - it ain't a road bike FFS" !!!!!!
