[Edit - bike is gone ]
It doesn't go.
Well, if you put in a battery and put the CDI back, and pumped the tyres up, it might go a few k, but it was pretty rattly when I last rode it.
I was told it had run a big end bearing, so I got a parts bike from another KBer and swapped the engine, and that started to make similar noises after maybe 10k (ie, during my test ride). I gather this is a common problem.
It's mostly complete, though, and will come with the original engine plus another that I got with the parts bike - probably not worth anything, as it had been sitting in a paddock with the cam covers off, and the cam chains are rusted, probably solid. Who knows what condition the crank is in; maybe it's better than the other two? There are some other spare parts off the other bike too (but the frame, wheels etc went to the tip yesterday).
I'll load the rest of the bits into the trailer over the next few days, and maybe take another pic.
Any takers?
Richard
