There were a few that caught my eye.
A streetfightered R1 that looked like it had a hard up bringing,A few TLRs with some nice mods,a couple of 04 aprillia rsv,a mint cb750 four,A few mint 85-95 gsxr's.
I would have to say the biggest selling bike recently would have to be the gsxr1000 :niceone:They were everywhere. There were also quite a few zx10r's :niceone:& r1's but not many cbr1000r's

Aside from getting drunk and meeting heaps of cool peaple, what other reason is there for bike rallies? Yea you may have a race or two at a rally but isn't it all about the bikes after all? Should go to the states sometime and do the Sturgis Run or Daytona Bike week. No those events are not just for HD riders or even just for cruisers those are just the bikers that most often show up. But the main point is for bikers to show off thier ride. whether they built it or had a shop build it whatever, it's all about the bikes...

I like the bikes that have been modded by owners sliding them on a rough surface on one side...:) gives them that used look :spudbooge

Car and bike shows are the same
Often the carpark contains better examples than in the show.
But that is us Kiwis for you, too shy and self effacing to show the world our accomplishments- least we get the tall poppies cut down

Yep thats about right.
It would be good if we had a bike show here for modded streetbikes/sportbikes.

Saw a nice CB1000R at paeroa, with a nicely grafted in CBX1000/6 motor. Right tasty.

You wouldn't perchance be talking of a CBX with CB1100R bodywork? I have a few photos of it somewhere, unfortunately no digital ones. This bike has been regularly seen at race meetings all over the NI for a few years now. Yep - it's luvverly.
