Riding around Red Rocks at the weekend?

Im coming down for a wedding in april ,..and need to know if you can still ride around red rocks in the weekends ?, i use to ride there in my younger days when it was a quarry
and now would like to show my son the sights of the south coast we would be on yz 426 and a yz 250

yeah you will be fine usually. technically your supposed to be road registered (just like most beaches nowadays) but it isn't patrolled as such. It is possible you'll get unlucky with a bored cop. He'll probably just tell you to go away. It is closed on Sundays to vehicles (big ass gate) and if it's a fine saturday there will be a million walkers and 4wds. Last time i went there to run in my bike after rebuild was about september? it's not the most thrilling ride but you'll know this. it is however very handy being only a fifteen minute drive from the CBD. look out for speed cameras down the ophiro bay road. Got done at 74 on the tard last week fukkit
