Lucky me, I get to spend Monday and Tuesday next week in Takapuna!
I'm running a training course and we need to feed the trainees. I'm not familiar with Takapuna so does anyone know either a good cafe (for takeaway sandwiches) or a place that does great sushi?
Oh yeah, I'm also there for dinner on Monday night. Any good restaurants I should check out?

Pita Pit/Burgerfuel would be my pick.
I've had good experience with the manager at Burgerfuel - did me a flat rate on a burger + drink combo when i organised a staff lunch, he also chucked in heaps of spud fries for free. It worked out at about $12 a person which was pretty good for those of us who ordered the more expensive burgers
But if you're up for something a bit different check out Pita Pit... pretty damn good if you ask me!

Walk along Hurstmere Road, that is where most of the Restaurants and Cafes are. There is a real yummie cafe in the middle of Hurstmere Road by a Book Shop. It has loads of outdoor seating and food is sensational....but I can't remember what it is called.
Stay away from Killarney St Brasserie...over priced for an average meal!

For dinner I'd say aubergine or if you like seafood and delicious fruity beer, the belgian beer cafe is top notch. Yum!

Wildfire are cunning bastards!
As soon as you sit down they bombard you with food. You grab their tasty offerings, chicken, beef etc and all of a sudden you find yourself stuffed full.
THEN they bring out the finer meats and seafood but because of the feeding frenzy, you have had to undo your belt and partially unzip your fly to let your gut hang out, there is no way in hell you want to shove anything else into your gob!
