Hey guys, I'm looking for one of these. Anyone tell me who has them in Jafaland? Or anywhere in NZ? cheers

Most brake pressure switches were taper gas thread,a banjo type is unusual.

Motu is correct, the largest number of pressure switches in new zealand are indeed 1/8 gas tapered... The next most common is 3/8x24, and then finally 10x1. Of course, no use to you! They're not unusual in the motorcycle trade, just the automotive industry.
You need to know whether you want a 10x1 or 10x1.25. They're not the best, for two reasons:
- They come on after the brakes are applied, unlike a mechanical switch (which is almost always adjusted to come on before)
- They tend to rust out the guts, causing them to fail
I don't really like them for either of those reasons, but given I've got racing rear sets on my bike, I also require one. Planning on importing one next week, unless you post back with the details of a NZ supplier before then of course!

any suzuki swicht that mounts on the factory rearsets will work with minamal mod's...get hold of one...and have a nosey. You'll cotton very quickly.

My KTM has a pressure switch for the rear brake. May be worth phoning a KTM dealer to ask...

is there no return spring on the rear sets?? because you can change the spring on those suzuki switches easy as!! and add more wire so u have a longer lever to hide it out of the way.

No, no return spring :(
But I brought one of those sexy little vandriver return springs and seat that goes over the mcyl pushrod and clevis.
Cheers Mr Al Bundy, I might whip into them and see em tomorrow

Good guys to deal with and it works a treat - naming it an "oil pressure switch" is a little weird though.

No more so than calling it a brake pressure switch. It doesn't operate on brake pressure - it operates on fluid pressure.
