Well I hit the South Island tomorow and during my travels I want to be able to find a computer with net so I can upload some photos. Any of you guys who have recently been down there know if they have such places in the towns down the West Coast?
I'm hinting at Gremlin's direction since I heared he's was quite the computer addict when he was down there. ;)

Google Maps is your friend. Type in "Net Cafe" and then the name of the town you're interested in.

No worries in the 'big' Coast towns, they are well geared-up for tourism. They even have telephones and those electric candles that hang from your ceiling.
Just don't go hitting on anyone's sister - still a bit protective of them.....

Cheers guys. As long as I know there are net cafes in those towns then that's cool.

There's a net kiosk at the Fox camping ground.

Ooh another Hornet buzzing around the mighty Mainland! Very good! Enjoy and looking forward to reading about your experiences!
As for the interwebz, plenty of access points - if you are backpacking it in hostels, they even have 'puters for it! (for a price of course)
Or if you are a gremlin type compgeeknerd, you can cast around for unsecured networks from the aether! :shifty:

It's 1 GB Ram / 120 GB HDD,but yes there are solid state models.
Coverage is a valid point but its not like i want to post from the middle of the CSR. (Or do i ;) )
.
Average internet surfing is around 80 cents per hour (8 cents per MB),KB would be around 32 cents.
I keep most things in a external hard drive,DR650 manual, picture folders etc etc so i can use internet cafes as need be.
