Now that I have a functioning rear tire again I am looking out for best deal on new chain and sprocket set for a CB 600F.

The local team at quoted about $360 for kit and 400 on the bike. I've done only a little searching and found Izumi kit for just under $300 from UK. I have no idea (till I call them back on Monday) what flavour kit the quoted me on.

I will call another couple of places in town and see what else is available also. Interested in any tips or warnings re: types of kits and the like.

Cheers
Steve (still not at Woodstock) - too broke Mikkel, I did seriously think about it tho

That's where I went. Was about 360 for kit and 400 on the bike.

To ammend my first post, the Izumi works out to be about 270NZD and a DID kit for about 280NZD

What an amazing response that was...

I managed to get another top deal and service from the team at Budget MC Spares. Got a DID chain and EK or RF I think from memory, sprockets front and rear. Wow what a difference that makes!!

One thing that Bill did notice was that some gimp had 530 chain and front sprocket with a 525 (which it's suppose to be) on the rear. There was no way I was ever going to notice this but in the last 5 or so months the stretch has been just stupid. He said that it was borderline dangerous - that's the reason I took it there, wasn't happy about long trip (hell any trip) with it in that state!

Anyhoo she's much happier now and have even changed oil and filter so she should be sweet. Think I'll have another look at my front brakes tho, may have done some minor damage in a disc alarm incident
