I gotta "new" bike

The profile says it all. The Softail has gone and has been replaced by an 07 Buell XB12X Ulysses..black with the full luggage set and 2700kms on the clock.

Firstly thanks to Big Dave who gave me some great advice almost a year ago about the bike and also the great youtube review helped (takes time to act on things I know).

Second bigger thanks to Pete at Wellington Motorcycles for maing the deal happen..really great as always to deal with.

Thirdly the biggest thanks to my wife who loved the Harley and still is ok with me buying the Buell. I am sure she will used to riding on the back of the Buell.

Went for a great ride early this evening from Wellington over the hill via Martinborough to dinner in Carterton and then home. What a bike..so smooth, great handling and brakes!!!!! who knew...

*You* just have to concentrate on keeping both wheels on the ground till she gets used to it.

SWMBO (She who must be obeyed) did say that the seating position was quite good but she missed the footboards...but there aint no way I am putting footboards on the Uly so she is going to get used to pegs again...I do see that there is sometimes a bit of a challenge in keeping that front wheel down..maybe a design fault?:2thumbsup.
