Didnt actually go to the rally but.......
Had the best ride with you bunch to fairlie. just perfect really, loving to death the wee 675, and was a bit gutted when it wouldnt start, but got it picked up and it will get sorted. Sorry for holding all you guys up. A thanks everyone for trying to help.

Great weekend, great to meet some of you & have some company on the ride down, even if I couldn't keep up it's nice that someone knows you're out on the road.

Took the long way home from Pareora through Cave seeing as we missed it on the way down :Oops: Nice to get off the main road and get a rest from other bikes passing me on blind corners or on the inside. Had a late breakfast in Fairlie & coffee in ashvegas and made it home before it got too hell windy.

Well what can I say?!?!

Was an awesome ride down - Thanks D:2thumbsup. I hung back and kept Neels company on the ride down and yes.. we kinda missed the turn off to Pareroa - but its all good... was a nice day for a scenic ride...

Was great to catch up with AlleyCat and to meet ChicknCharge! Shame about your bike AC! :crybaby:

Got to camp... was real thirsty.. so was drinking and drinking :drinkup:.. and then ummm :Oops: decided it would be funny to attempt to give a wasp a blow job!!! :slap:

Needless to say... The wasp came off first best! Little fucker!! I think it made the St Johns guys day when I walked up with a wicked lisp and said.. "this will be the oddest thing you will hear all weekend!".. Thank you to HOT!! 3 nurses :doctor: and none of us had any pheregan! (there is some in my first aid kit now!!!)... Once we had found some antihistamines, I decided the best thing was to sterilise my tongue - so I kept drinking... what a trooper!!!:laugh:

I was a little worse for wear in the morning! :sick: And no bacon sammies to be found! How rude!:cry: So we headed off (after the kb'ers) back through pareora to cave since we missed the day before.. Major breakfast in Fairlie (could have eaten a horse and its entire family!!:yes:)... then a nice ride through to Geraldine back up main drag.. Got a little windy at the end but was all good.. Was absolutely knackered when I got home.. but washed and polished the bike and put her to bed and unpacked!

Was a fantastic weekend! Im just sorry I didn't meet everyone this weekend!!

Wot a great weekend!

Wasnt a gr8t start to get to the Rolly BP & Matt informs me my tent & sleepingbag were gone!Quick backtrack & both found!!:Oops:Thanks Matt!!

A nice ride down,especially when I slotted in behind svboy & Crusa!(the 2nd Aprillia appeared pretty promptly,ah Glen!:niceone:)

Fast track to the Rally,gear sorted,so many people to catch up with:hug:The Port was consumed motoRad-ical(Matt) got on to his favourite subject,sex & menopause that was soo funny:rofl:

I think there was partying,then it was Tequilla time!!:msn-wink:The ducati served for bar duties again,a wee few shots were downed & the bottle was empty!!(sorry Chrissy & Shrek it vanished lol!!)

I believe there were bike antics(did I really have the Duc fired up??)there was more dancing etc,I drank all Ds single malt:devil2:...

The Devine Retro looked after me,back to the caravan for coffee shots.....

Our wee bunch of 5(me,retro,Shrek,subike & retros friend on the big bad Buell)had an awesome cruise home with a yummy brekkie at the Chequered flag then numerous strong coffees & laughs at Retroqueens house

I had a magic weekend!!

That was rigged all right! A damn good show was put on by all the ladies up there only to be spoiled by a poor and obviously rigged decision at the end.

I left home around 1145 on Friday in nice warm weather, not the rain that was forecast, and met up with a mate on his Buell from the coast at Sheffield for a pie for lunch then headed off through Rakaia Gorge and on towards Geraldine. Almost at Geraldine and I hadn’t seen him for a bit so I stopped to wait for 10 minutes – hmmmm, still no sign of him, so I back tracked and found him parked up, helmet off and bent over the bike, not a good sign! It turned out that while going through some road works something had gone bang, a vibration developed and the handling turned to shit. Further inspection revealed that the swingarm pivot bolt, which is also the rear engine mount bolt, had shit itself causing the swingarm and engine to move about. This wasn’t too bad if speed was kept below 100kph so the decision was made that he would return home to the coast rather than risk continuing. We parted company here with me continuing on and him heading home. It turned out that the vibration got worse on the way home with the front engine mount also eventually breaking and the trip being completed with a couple of ratchet tie downs holding the engine in place.

I continued on via Geraldine, Fairlie, Cave, Pareora Gorge, SHWY 1, Waimate, arriving at 5pm to set up house by the Taj Mahal. Had a great night and awoke to HOT day – I don’t know what it got up to during the day, but I spotted a temp gauge on a bike at 6.30 saying was still 34.1 deg c then. I had a nice quiet night on Sat watching all the other KB drunkards – always good for a laugh.

Sunday saw another nice day and departure from the site at around 9.30 to head home the reverse of how I got there, food stop at Geraldine, and home at 1.40.

The Hare that was, was great, going Saturday as planned become going Friday instead, arriving late in the arvo, the trip through Cave was awesome, as had never done this track before... somthing about the bumpy and windy track that had the griso loving every turn.

Dinner in Waimate, then set up tent, grab some drinks and enjoy the night, plenty of people continued to arrive for sure. the nite ended somewhat arse over tit, after a childish prank of squirting water at Sensible, him taking flight and running after me. I dashed well, until the guy rope took me out... lol was rather time stopping... sure reminding of the silly things ya end up doing as a kid!!!

Had a great night Fri, and enjoyed the ride out to Omarama for lunch. back at the site in good time, for what was to be a mellow chilled evening, but much to much was consummed and ended being rather weary in the Sunday morn.
Up and out with everyone else, with the reverse trip through Cave, waking my weary bones... yay.
Geraldine for lunch... rode into the cafe park thinking I was in the wrong gear.. duh. ate... went down to fill up with gas...somthing did not seem right.... cant be nuthin I thought.

Rode around 10km's out of town, thinking nah... pulled up. Right side cold as, Left side hot, drinking 15ltr/100km. Found no spark getting to the right side... and that was as far as we got, these bikes rely alot on ECU/sensers and crap.

Anyways Mrs Bullet and the schrapnel and her Migraine bought the trailer to collect my sorry ass from rode side.
Was good to get home early evening...

... Still not sure what the issue is to date... some sort of coil error on diognostic dash, but swaping coils does nothing... ECU? Sensors or somthing?? will get her to the shop and go from there.

Still yet to have a real look at me photo's...

Holy SHIT!! What a weekend, I have finally just got enough strength to tap out a few words on my keyboard, :zzzz:but really I am still feeling brain-dead, that feeling you get as you get home after a rally and get out of your leathers!! or is that just me??
Anyway great to catch up with a few familiar faces and friends, meet quite a few new ones, listen to and dance to great music, drink plenty,:beer: enjoy the great site , the excellent weather. the Bikes!! the wonderfull conversation!! where do I stop??:woohoo: But really it's the people that make it !!!:hug:

Maybe we need 2 x South Island KB Rallys, just so we can spend more time catching up with each other, I find a normal rally weekend is too short!! too much to see and do!!

what a weekend
left home 1730 pootled down to the site arrived 2215 to hear MrS & GB giving each other shit :laugh: they supervised me unpacking from the next stall, that done & out of the way open the veno & let the night begin lost MrS & GB after we were at the bar then every thing got fuzzie then the night was gone ended up with 98tls,nighthawk & TWR having a bit of a :dinkup: at the stables much to the joy of those around us till 0535 after falling asleep they thought it better that we had stayed up :rofl:

sat morn 0830 up mmmmmmmm lights on but nobody home, put on pot of coffee followed by food & 2nd pot of coffee, 1030 still not good decided that i should ride up to Oldriders later

got to oldriders just get the coffee on & the rest showed up from their ride around the lake, so John goes out & like a good camp mum Chrissy comes in & takes over making every one drinks

Mrs oldrider comes home to find shes been invaded & like a great hostess makes shore we've all had a drink :niceone: Pip

sat arvo arrive back & the party starts again but this time drinking was kept to a moderate level & bed by 2200 only to be beaten up at 2300 by some drunken booze hag wanting me to come an :wari: & get as bad as she was & how I should be looking after her :confused: tiz just as well that i'm in her age group & my short term memory is shot & can't even think of who it was :whistle:

sun morning bounce out of bed coffee food pack, only to find H.O.T had not come home so subike said we would wait & who should show up just as the others were leaving :nono:

anyway on our way in no time & a sweet ride home it was stopping for 2nd breakfast at the checkard flag, then dropping off at Dunsandel for an interview then catching up at Retro's place for coffee & lots of laughing was great to have you guys as traveling compions

good to catch up with every one & meeting new KBer's & others :msn_wink:

Mom is back in the states....shes on a trike now...its here in my garage...might ride that to the Hororata rally..(Patriots asked me to work the gate again..I love that job!!)

Ive been trying to get to the March Hare for 3 years...I got off work on the Friday, rode down by myself....Mates had my tent up when I got there (Thanx Sue n Keith).....I brought 2 bottles of Southern Comfort and a Pillow!!

Heading home...I was like 2-3 minutes behind mates when I got to the gate to leave...all I saw were BLACK jackets in front of me at the gate..they turned right......so did I!....25 miles later I realized they were headed to Kurow....and they werent the mates I should have been following!....Friggin Tourist ay!!....5 years in NZ and I still have no clue where I am most of the time!........Anyway turned round finally, headed back to site, hooked up with other mates still there and had the VERY BEST DAY of RIDING!!....Maxed my speedo with every passing lane.......Damnnnn that felt GOOD!:Punk:

I brought all my kids back to raise them as kiwi's ( I have 3 kids and Ive just inherited a foster son a few months back)...we moved here temporarily, as I was having serious problems with my man....we were here 6 months when he died in the US (suicide).....so we stayed here.......Thats me in a nutshell......Now I just ride, go to rugby and work!......Shit Happens......and Life Goes ONNNN ....if we're Lucky!

I suppose it sounds daft but at motorcycle rallies I would say the majority of blokes are married with kids....and most of their kids are grown up too.

I have to be one of the honest fellas though - I can't shut up about my missus when I'm out on the piss....she's so wonderful :love: wish we could afford a bike for her too.

certain KBer's acussed myself and Rashika whom I will add was a Plains member for a few years, she has countless badges from fundraising done through Plains etc yet she and us all that went to the pub and a walk around were acused of 'steeling from children' as we never paid a entry to the rally (we continued our day ride from the pub)... the pubs a public place and the team of 12 odd riders that we rode with did buy rafel tickets at the pub... na fark em. :jerry:
