Just thougth I would throw this on here, incase anyone is interested.

I've been living in the uk for the past 16 months now and my working holiday visa expires in september, but instead of just flying home, I have joined a whole bunch of people driving from the uk to australia.

I thought long and hard about riding the journey, and the miles (20,000miles) dont really scare me, its more the people who are in cars conversing all day, while I am humming to my self, I dunno, but its not the journey for me at the moment. we would however be very keen for motorcycles to come along.

We are leaving from the goodwood festival of speed on the 3rd of july, looking to take approx 3 months to travel the 30,000km to australia, so far we have 5-6 cars coming for the journey, once we get to the south of australia, I will jump on a flight across the ditch, just in time for nz summer!

at the same time as this, I will be shipping my bike back to nz, so I will have wheels for when I get home and the sun comes out!

If anyone is keen, or would like more information, please get in touch, either here, or check out www.rachiesbigadventure.com or www.ozrally.org or search facebook for "oz rally"

It will take you whole 3 months to do 30 000km ?

Shouldn't take more than 40 days tops :D but thats just me :D

edit: I just remembered that you need time for border crossing so fair enough...

heh... i dunno, but add in boarder crossings and the fact that half the roads will be rubbish.... 3 months will be good going.
