Yeah, yes and no. I'm not fantastic by any stretch of the imagination, but I am a bit over the wee yellow shovel. Thought I'd give the 2t thing a go, I test rode the bike I'm getting a while back, ooohhh so fun.
p.s, if you're not on there already, the thumpette (http://www.thumpertalk.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=78) forum on thumper talk is the best girl dirtbike forum I've seen. Most active anyway.

pretty sure there is a sort of ladys day at woodhill (sandpit) every wednesday. You'd meet heaps up there.

Cool, do they take the afternoon off work or is it a late night thing?

Don't know, but ktmboy will.

Don't let SpikedPunch's comments regarding DRZs put you off. They are an excellent bike to learn on. Low seat height, and can lug a bit if required. Well compared to an 85 or 100cc two stroke anyway. :)

SpikedPunch found the beginners track at Thundercross excellent to get to grips with the bike etc without having to worry about anything else. As a bonus women get in free!

Rupe's correct about the Sandpit i think, although I've never been LOL I scare you all away!!
Secondly when we do a Mr Moto ride we take our kids and teenagers. Andy has 3 girls I think, my daughters learning, so there's lots of different levels of riders on those days. Even if we have a KB day at Thunder or The Sandpit You would be ok. We'd make sure you make it back to your car and you'd probably learn a lot more as well.

Sooo what time are all the girls out the sandpit???:Oi::spanking:

hey Sammikins, Grace, Sophie and I are going to Thunder on Friday, by the sound of it, there will be several ladies at or about your skill level riding. My girls would love your company. Can't offer you a lift as the trailer will be full, but be good to catch up again if you can get there..... 0274272064.... Phil.

Try to PM KLXJT, she was a regular. But yeah, they have quite a little girlie group going out there on Wednesdays(don't think they work mid week) for most of the day.

Fairly quiet at the moment though due to the summer migration to the beach.
God bless bikini's:jerry:

I would love to come although I am worried cos I haven't done my 10 hour service and I'm sure I have done more than 10 hours on my bike... And transport may be an issue for me... I will have a think about it and get back to you!

It would be Ideal for you to meet A&R and his daughters, and Climintie and his daughter. And all the KB Crowd going. It doesn't happen often that they are all in one spot unless I organise it! LOL!

But in saying that the first service after a recon or on a new bike is the most necessary to clean out all the foreign manufacturing particles and crap.

Did you get the stuff on the list to do your filter and oil change?? It'll only take about 30 mins to do both.

Secondly not sure if I'm going yet but my daughter is away in Hastings and my son has to work so if I go to Thunder I'll have room on the Ute, seeing as your local Howick we could share the gas??
Up to you?

PS you get into Thunder free!

Ouch tuff call Sammy, seeing as how the bikes not mine.
The Drz isn't hard on its bits (depending how you ride) compared to a 125 screemer, it should be ok.
But if it where mine I'd not ride a bike that hasn't had the filter cleaned for 30 hours and because it is its very first oil change its fairly important if your keeping it, in my humble opinion.
Filter oil and 4L gearbox oil from say Botany Honda should only cost $50-60-00. If your short just get a litre of gearbox oil. Your bike probably only takes about 6-700ml.
Tub of general grease from Repco Dunno $10-00 bucks! They sell small 300ml Castrol Filter oil there for $9-00 as well I think.
Litre of kero from Bunnings ??
There's that auto place in Bunnings carpark as well! You might even get the lot there. But don't let them sell you car oil for your gearbox it must be for a bike because of the wet clutch.

Be safe, go shopping, then give me a call and I'll show you and your hubby how I clean mine. your going to need it all in the future anyway its part of biking (the must do stuff). You'll only need to be shown once as well, its not hard, as I say 30mins tops.
PM me your number if you need help!

10 hours ain't bad. Get the manual out, take the cover off, have a look at the filter if it ain't caked in dust and looks fairly clean should be ok.

Got your PM I'll txt you if I go! Gotta see whats on the family schedule first!

Tell her thank you very much for the offer :D I'd be way too paranoid about dropping it down one of the hills there tho! I crash a lot, better to do it on my own bike :third:
The little devil on my shoulder is saying I should just dip into the savings and buy the new bike now and sell the old one later, or hang onto it....And wouldn't it be nice to have something my friends could ride?...Naughty little thing! :devil2:

Doesn't mean you girls can't come out with us if we have a get together! I'm Sure Sammikins didn't feel intimidated the day she spent with all of us at thunder. We'd love to have you girls along with us and our families. Don't forget we have girls that ride as well even if they don't post on here!
