Any one heard of these guys? I was looking at a bike on trade me and there was some stickers on it with oneliterclub and there were a few questions saying how fast these guys were....
Come to think of it i may have sold a guy an ohlins shock in auckland for an 04 R1 that was talking something about them..?
Maybe it could be a good Mormen Few Challenge..? haha

The only time i ever saw them was at Bombay BP, It was early 05 i think because i still had my ZXR250. There was a guy on a new K5 thou, they had only been out a month or two at the time, and he'd already rolled a bowled it on both sides.
Were they not the guys who's mate died in that crash out Miranda way in about October last year?

If he's an actual member (there are those that just try to imitate by sticking stickers on their bikes) then yes... the bikes are used.
Rims have been buckled on multiple occasions...

I think they should be done under the trades description act...
Allowing 600cc bikes just makes a mockery of the club.

My "Welcome to Auckland" ride, John and a couple of others turned up for a nice ride 'round Coro'. Thoroughly nice blokes and enjoyable time had by all.

Was at a trackday at Puke once, when a couple of them were there. I was still learning to ride my CBR600RR, and it was my first time on it at Pukekohe, they were marginally quicker than me at the start of the day, but by the end I'd caught and passed them. They would've been doing about 65's on litre bikes. Reasonable.

my boss ran across a few of them this last weekend...going over the Kopu-Hikuai road...he got stuck behind a couple slow cars for a bit (~70km) but the litre boys (or at least 1 of them) decided to over-take him & the cars on a blind corner, between the cars and the centreline - dragging his knee.
Not the best idea I wouldn't have thought - but then I don't ride a litre, and I ride like a nana so I'm unqualified to judge

Sounds like a perfectly safe overtaking manouver. Life is too short to be stuck behind some tool doing 90 on the open road

Seems this kind of motorcyclist has a wider habitat than Bank's Peninsula on a fair weathered weekend then, despite being an endangered species. Not too surprised though...

BAHAHAHA i remember that ride!!! I was on bruces TL1000! It still cracks me up remembering that mirror literally exploding!
I used to ride with them, but only really rode with John and Vladi... Nice guys, very fast on the road (too fast for me now). But only do 63-65s at Puke... easy to run circles round them on the track on a 600.

They are on metzler racetechs at the moment, for some stupid reason? Told them to get real tyres like Conti race attacks or Pirelli Diablo Supercorsas. They all wear plates and do stop for cops.

I was never up to the standard of there ridin, but everytime I rode with them they always had plates , never saw them on slicks, and know that they have stopped for cops, must be another myth..
