Well this "Stripper in the forest" is ... well I'm in awe.

It'd come in handy setting up riding tracks or fixing the problem you have with a neighbours overhang when they whip out for a few minutes.

That's a very talented operator! Digger drivers are fascinating to watch sometimes - my Dad is one of those who operates a digger like it's an extension of himself. Helps that he's been doing it for over 40 years though I s'pose.

Very impressive. Reminds me of the Sawfish (http://www.tritonlogging.com/engineering.html):

There's a video animation of how the unit works on this site too.

top machine, have seen a debarker like this in action, in our local forest.
i my self have been operation exavators for 18yrs, and its just like your arms are longer, just comes second nature.
i spend around 8-9 hr 6 days a week in it.
ya watch some not so good operators and tink to your self.
what the fluk are you doing.......

If thats a warratah that I've been hearin about all the operator has to do is aim it at a tree & it's programmed to do the rest -

Same sort of thing as a waratah, but trust me, you dont just aim it at a tree and let it do its own thing!

Both arms control the boom and arm functions and head rotation and every finger on both hands controls at least one function:niceone:

I was field service manager working on them for a good few years.
