I'm not sure whether to laugh or cry.....

I had a great pair of Frank Thomas Boots that I'd only worn a few times before the sole on the left boot fell apart.... Clearly some kind of manufacturing fault. Fair dues to Frank Thomas, they've said they can't replace them as they are no longer made and have not been made for some time but they've offered to replace them with a similar ankle length boot. Now the original ones were more like work boots with a thick sole and reinforcing in the right places.
I came across these beauties as I was checking out their website.....
One of the reasons I'd be keen to hear what you guys think, is that I've seen people wearing some odd ensembles of clothing / gear over here in the UK and whilst these boots are not my cup of tea, they may be the dogs bollocks to other ladies out there....
Actually, the more I look at them, the less weird they look... still not committed through...

They don't actually look all that bad, and if you're short in the leg, it may help with touching the ground.
It would all fall apart when people asked what model they were :shifty:

Yes, I was thinking that too. I quite like them, but the heel doesn't look quite right to me.

Looks like what the spice girls would wear if they rode bikes, do they come in white?

Mrs H has had the soles built up on her Styl Martins. Makes a big difference to her riding experience.
Just don't overdo it, or you'll completely buggerise your footpeg/shifters ergonomics.

I like them! I would definitely wear them. They look a bit like my Sidi Rose boots, but with a higher heel.
On the other hand I don't like them as much as i like these Bombshell Boots...

there have been actual conversations with fellow riders (all male - relevant? maybe) who ask "why don't yer just get a shoesmith to nail on a coupla inches to the bottom of yer shoes?"
i haven't complained about not touching the ground since.
the boots get my vote. =_=

That's what I liked about the FT boots that I had, they had a very thick sole from heel to toe. Good idea getting the soles built up, but I think these ones with just the heel built up aren't really ideal....
Still, they are an interesting style, maybe more suited for the discerning pillion....

I'm not sure about NZ suppliers but since I'm in contact with their customer services at the moment I can ask and let you know... Other than that I guess mail order from their site....
