I was just involved in a head-on accident at 8.35pm tonight in my partner's car.

I'd stopped in the turning bay to turn right into my street when a Primera decided to play “chicken”. Thinking someone was just trying to give me a scare (actually fucken did), he drove straight into the front driver’s side of the car.:dodge:

One hell of a bang, both airbags fired and one poor Celica spun backwards 90°! Car is totalled with frontal damage and right front wheel folded under wheel arch.

Quite stunned, I got out of the car to find several people already gathering and a nice lady telling me she saw the whole thing as she was following the other driver. I think the young driver may have been distracted, as the contents of his McDonalds milkshake were all over the inside of the windscreen!

Anyway thing’s really get interesting now as the Celica can’t be moved, so two witnesses position their cars with hazard lights to warn other motorists. Three of us are standing by the Celica, when all of a sudden, a Commodore runs into the back of one of the witnesses cars (Lancer). Cops arrive and it turns out the Commodore driver has been drinking and the poor girl with the Lancer has no insurance!

What a shit night! I guess I'll be handing over my car to my partner and riding the bike to work for a while!

At least your insurance will pay out for you, then target the other person if they were insured.Feel sorry for the girl in the other car hit by the drunk guy, typical he has no insurance if under the influence, and she has none so no insurance company to fight for her.

The young girl will still be able to claim against his insurance as an uninsured third party. He'll have no cover for his own car though.

I know spray guns and I certainly wouldn't be using that to paint a motor vehicle! How did the fence painting go anyway?

He'll certainly be charged! He tried to say the milkshake was on the passenger seat, but strange how it completely covered the driver's side of the windscreen! Just a kid really, but he did admit liability and he apologised!

Quality spray gun dude, so not that one! It's a cheap piece of shit I bought to paint my fence.

Yeah I'm glad he's ok too. But I am not impressed at having to drive the Mazda:weep: I want my pretty red car back, but don't think that’s going to happen some how. Cant get it assessed, then probably written off, till Tuesday.

I might have to get confident enough to take the VL250 to work myself:2thumbsup:

Not so sure about the losers on the road that seem to target my car though.

Apologies for killing your car babe!

Bejeebus! That suxs Al. Glad you were not on your bike man!

Had I been on the bike, I’d be one very unhappy camper. The moron didn’t brake at all, so impact would’ve been between 50-60kph.
I’ll have a bit more respect for stock car drivers now, as even that speed actually fucken hurts!
