If I am cornering reasonably hard the bars on my XT flex.
It's quite disconcerting, particularly when I need to adjust my line a touch. I feed it a bit more pressure, the bike doesn't change, add a bit more, then it reacts.
Sooo, I guess it's a bit like oil and tyres, but here goes. What bars are best?

Ok... for the record - that wasn't my thread title.
I guess too many people would have been confused by me posting bike related stuff on here.

Renthal.....but I'm sure there are others that will work.
Obvious thing, check the bar to triple clamp mount is tight / rubber bushes not worn, but otherwise it's shitty bars that flex.
Take the opportunity to select bars that suit you, there are a huge variety of different rises, sweeps and widths available so if your going to spend $150 - $200 get bars that will assist your riding position.
Cycletreads or shops that specialise in dirt bikes ar the best places to look.

cycletreads, had to order them in tho - heaps of the dirt bikes (with the cross member) handlebars in stock, but no road ones.

I just put a set of Renthal Motox bars on my Fazer. Didnt bother with the Renthal road bars (just take the brace off). I cut an inch off both ends (not completely necessary). Had to re-route my brake hose but that was it.
Bars are nice. strong, and look shit hot. $140 from treads.

Botany Honda can also get renthal in.
Be prepared for a puzzling adventure. There are a ton of options and measurements on the bars, which all add up to slightly different curves, width, etc
Hornet has the mx bars, not the street fighter etc, so it entirely depends on which shape is best for you.

Has it got those flexible rubber mount thingies? I'd be surprised if the bars actually bend with just riding force.
They might just need tightening a little.

Yes it does have flexible rubber mounts and they do move a little, however the bars do bend a lot.
