What's the best sounding aftermarket pipe for a Triumph daytona 675?

Hi all, just got an 06 daytona 675, it came with the factory can and I would like to ditch this for something with a bit more flow and nicer sound. I'mnot after the loudest bike out there, just to enhance and get a nice throaty deep sound out of the back. Been trying to listen to the different types on youtube but it's not the best sound quality. Anyone heard know some cans that sound the best for my bike?

Two brothers system on my friends 06 675 is real nice it sounds good and throaty but can get annoying on a long ride with no ear plugs. I would recommend a look.

Running through the various Youtube clips I'd have to agree that the Shark and Two Brothers sound the nicest... particularly on the overun :cool:. Man they're all really loud though.

I've got the Triumph "not for road use" muffler on mine and from the clips it's similar to the Shark but not as deep pitched or as loud. It's certainly not annoying for the rider but I sometimes wonder about the folks living on the Paekakariki Hill :whistle:

ive heard harris pipes (now called motorcycle exhaust specialists) have done alotta work on 675 pipes. havent heard one and there pretty steep but they seem to know what there doing.

Awesome, thanks for the input guys, I've been recommended the two brothers type, but like the sound of the shark one supposed to be quite deep and throaty, this is what I'm after. Again, cheers all.

I've got the Triumph "performance muffler" and that makes a great sound but bordering on too loud for my taste at times. In fact I might stick the standard muffler back on for a change one day.

I've heard one with the Two Brothers and it was unpleasantly loud. That "loud" that draws unwanted attention and pisses your neighbours off loud. The Owner admitted he wasn't enjoying it either.

When I was reading up after-market cans for the Hornet it became apparent that Two Brothers pipes are not regarded as being particularly good quality.

The best advice I saw was to buy a brand that does R&D. The only way I know whether they do that or not is to see who uses them. If the SBK guys are using them, World, Brit, or AMA, they should be OK.

I've got an Akrapovic can on the R1 - not a full system mind you - and to be honest I think it sounds a bit muted. Not sure if it's the R1's exhaust with the Exup valve or the can that does it though, just doesn't have the same growl that a lot of other bikes seem to

Good info guys, ive so been wondering the same thing. Its such a sexy beast of a toy but to my ears the factory pipe sounds kinda lame, till you are pulling some revs. I know someone who had their 675 pipe done at thunderbike in nelson, but dunno wether its their own make or a bought in product. That one has quite a nice howl.
