hey fullz, I made some graphics for my bike but the printer spat the dummy and left out big chunks of black which I wanted to match up with my seat, thus I dont want them....... would be perfect if you had a white kitted CR 125-250 or if your not fussy like me... Cheese your always lookin for a bargan mate

$40.00 if ya want em. 2 shrouds, rear guard, and front plate.
pickup would be easy for me north shore, auck

Very impressive work there red rider, you've got the stuff allright. I just bought some spare rad shrouds for my KTM, I want to have a go at doing my own design. I'm only comfortable in Photoshop though. Is easy enough to convert to Illustrator? How do you vector up those complicated random shapes with all those curves and angles - eg on your design in pic?

They look good REDRIDER.

I wouldn't mind getting into that business myself. I'm a Natcol graduate but have been working in the digital print industry for the last five years.

Funny story. KTM releases a hard equipment catalogue every year. You can download these from their site. I downloaded the '06 pdf and was amazed to find that they hadn't converted all of their graphic kits to bitmap but had left them as high res vectors. Me being schooled in pdf manipulation was able to single out one of the kits. So I've got this mint as KTM FMF factory kit sitting on my computer.

So how much would it cost me to get a set printed?

I'd be keen on getting one for a template flangemaster or Red rider? A lot easier than trying to scan a curved rad cover - not to mention a front guard! Bloody NZ DIY attitude stuffing up your biz red rider!

yeah mate, trouble is everybody wants to do it, but to do it properly it costs alot of money, not point sellin graphcics that are gonna fall off or wear through in a month, which is what a lot of guys are doin.

I work in prepress have done for years, and found the same thing in some of the factory fx pdfs, seems crazy to put all that work in to let other people rip it....

the whole idea was to make it cheaper for custom stuff. I got sick of seeing monster energy on everything, got heaps of ideas but graphics for bikes are very particular and people like diff things so its hard to premake shit.
Same thing through CSC file supplied will cost you $500 PLUS.

you can leave it all in photoshop mate, just needs to be high res. I only use .ai cause I have heaps of "elements" laying round.

I did natcoll too, led to my current job. What course did you do?:)
Redrider, would you like some dr-z tank templates? I peeled the ratty tank graphics off mine when I got it to make my own, and never got around to it, they're just sitting on a piece of a4 atm, not gonna need em now. I did make up a die line in illustrator but the computer died and took it with it.:bash:

I work for a kid's book publishers :) Do a bit of everything, illustration/design/prepress. Must get pretty good hookups for printing stuff working there! I'd love to work somewhere with one of those big industrial paper cutters, chopped off a chunk of my thumb hand cutting mockups on friday, oww :Pokey:

I'm a offset press operator on an A2 Heidelberg. work for Geon in wellington who d'ya work for redrider? much work up there at the mo? there's a bit of talk about redundancies down here :weep:

Cool lookin graphics by the way. what stock (brand/material) do you print it on? is it self adhesive? how thick is it? do you laminate over the top of the printed image to stop ruboff?

Yoh, fellow geonite, I work for Geon Albany, (prepress) yeah its been a bit slow for a while but it has its crazy moments, ie the day before a long weekend.
Heard about a couple of redun.. in Aus but nothing here as far as I know. (like im in the loop)

Cheers on the graphics, not everybodies cup of tea but they are 1 of a kind. Was it you that was joking about "BottomDweller" ones?? anyway they are all printed on an convex vinyl and matching clear laminate, 13ml or 18ml stuff is made for motocross, tuff as nails.

13ml or 18ml stuff

i see this same figure on your website- do you mean 1.3ml and 1.8ml? because 13 & 18 are fucken thick

that or its measured in a way that isnt clear to me and i look like a n00b.

id say you're getting my business on my next set of plastics

cheers B0000M look forward to it, yeah its a one of those weird US measurements but one that is used for most graphics ie factory FX, ONE etc.

20 mil = 20 thousandths of an inch = 0.020 inches. At least according to wiki.

13mil is sweet for most 18mil is slightly less conformable but harder wearing.
How bout this one, see attached, this is me being an idiot...

oh cool. assuming yours is the SE (white) i have a mate who'll buy your white plastics if you sell em when ya get blackies. there's an italian graphics (and plastics/accessories?) company called BURN, have seen awesome pics of my bike on the net with full white plastics and burn graphics. oooh if i didn't spend so much on keeping the damn thing running.

on the bourbon front i recon that JDs should give me a hand out for keeping them afloat during this economic slowdown. JDs sure have economically slowed me down.

ill second that not sure what ill do with the white one few scratchs on them now thinkin ill keep for the real bad rides where damage is expected. silver and black seat aye?... that'll look good. I'll look it up and see if i can find a pic. If barty has permission red rider then my mate'll probably go for one too... that'll make it a 2 off race design. His is '08 but standard blue. plastics are fucked and all the decals have come off. gets biffed on the rocks an average of 5 times per ride. Fuck he's fun to ride with. Black tanks are an ass to see how much gas you have left huh barty, mine's the same and my rims are kinda blacky, silvery, gravel rash coloured
