The top half of this photo doesn’t seem that impressive until you consider it’s a crop from the bottom photo… which is a 6.2 gigapixel ultra-panorama stitched together from 602 raw images.

Which is very cool

It's not a satellite pic. Just some dude with a camera on top of a building who's panning it around and snapping lots of zoomed-in photos, then stitching them together on a computer.

I completely fail to see what's interesting about it.

Look at the secretary in the 15th windown from the left, 36th level.

Me too - and I stitch photos together at times. The largest I've done was 22 metres by 2.4 metres at 72dpi. The others have been close to that as well.

That is awesome.... very cool... as others have said stiching is somthing else... and a good way to capture a wider range of sight...

Not mine either - Peeping Tom meets Where's Wally for some.

Wouldn't mind his computing grunt though.

OK. I found three. I must say that I would not have expected there would be so many topless chicks in such a setting. Goes to show.

I'm guessing it'd be .jpeg, but it could be .png. If the latter, enjoy your 400MB 10,000x8,000 image :eek5:
