Hi all
i joined in on ride up pylon track then over to southerlands hut today.

mate that pylon track, you got to have your wits about you,
on that rocky section, wasnt as bad comming down as i thought it might be,
great views, great ride, its good to keep your skills up.

moved on to martinbrough for a bite and drink, chat with other bikers and take in the lovely sights......
moved on to southerlands hut, by this time things where getting a little hot weather wise,
navagated our way down to hut, tryed to cool off, headed for the creek to cool down,
decided to keep moveing, all managed to get over the tricky sections and headed out.

i must say i have to take my helmet off to the two chaps riding the big bemmers, to handel them big bikes over the terrain we covered to day, top job, they be twice the bike i have. well done.

was great to meet new riders and i enjoyed the day out,
hope to ride with all again.

some pics off our trip.

Yah great ride but much too hot! :buggerd:
Eddie's GPS said it was 41*C in the bottom of the valley coming out from Sutherland's hut. Very enjoyable to chill out in Graham's pool at Martinborough after.

What a hot day, the thermometer on the gps got up to 42 degrees in some of the patches we rode though.

As one of the BMW riders thanks for the riding complements, what Junkmanjoe fails to mention though is his first picture was taken after helping pick my bike up, and it wasn't the only time that happened.

1) The view from the top of the Pylon Access Track, great view, but it's a sh*tty track up there
2) Junkmanjoe rounding the gate heading to Sutherlands
3) Andy Mac rounding the same gate
4) Andy Mac is such a hard man he did the track to Sutherlands Hut 2-up
5) Returning from Sutherlands

The last three photos are now in the Sutherlands.

My feelings exactly!!! :oi-grr:

Actually if there was way more to access once up on top it would be worth it, but the nightmarish descent just isn't worth it for what's available up there - coming down that on a solo ride was not that much fun for me!

 I made a point of riding through there again.
No water this time, so not quite the same GS eating bastard it was last time.

These lads are not quite as fast as you are on the camera,
I managed to splat myself twice and no picture evidence so far :bleh:
