Hey all I just fitted GSXR250 forks to my FXR and have dissassembled the forks, cleaned and fitted new seals, anyone know how much oil goes back in em?

Set mine last week with 15W oil and a 100mm air gap at the top and they felt pretty good. Got a funny felling the standard air gap is 125mm.

No idea what that equates to in volume though.

Cheers ears.....you confirmed what I was thinking, brought 15 wt oil this morning.......I dont know wether I'd have the nuts to go as little as 100mm air gap but if it works.....

Yea, 100mm air gap was a bit of an experiment when I put the forks back togeather, but it seeme pretty good.

I also at the same time used some old 50 cent coins that I had lying around to increase the preload, but after two offs in two practice sessions on saturday from the front washing out:Oops: that part of the experiment was abandoned for racing on sunday for a vast improvement.
