Oh well guys n gals, it’s time to say goodbye,

Yes indeed folks, work commitments have dictated the need for me to spend more time working on my music and book writing projects that have been on the go for the last 10 years or so.

After an exhaustive search, I have finally found an avenue for publishing the set of books I am working on while at the same time an album of songs I have been working on has finally got off the ground with a release date pencilled in for mid 2009.

So, all that means I will be frequenting these great forums on a much much less regular basis.

Since first signing up in September last year, the KB site has been my home page and subsequent mentor for all things bike shaped. I have benefited from the advice, been touched by the kind words from fellow bikers and laughed at the never ending banter and humour.

For all of these things, I want to thank each and everyone of you, it has been a great time.

This does not mean I am giving up riding, hell no, I am still 100% out there on 2 wheels, it just means I wont be posting or visiting as much from next week onwards.

To the Mods, well done guys, you run a great site. Sorry if I ballsed up the posting etiquette, never done intentionally I can tell you.

There are some who have found my posts unpalatable to say the least for one reason or another, mostly in response to the various scrapes and skids I have found myself in from time to time. Hey, no worries there, I’ve enjoyed sharing these with you, if they aint your cup of rosy then sweet, I only hoped that they raised smiles elsewhere.

Finally. Please please please take care out there on the highways and byways. Look after yourselves at all times and ride safe. If you should see a big fat git on a VL waving frantically at you as he passes, it may be me saying hello….or I’ve got another fecking wasp in my lid….!

Love to all, thanks again and peace out.....

Good luck, my man. But do keep visiting from time to time. Perhaps you will be able to regale us with humourous tales of FatMax mayhem from other quarters...

Wait ... is that the lyrics from Hotel California I hear?

Dear beetle-browed, shaven thigh, prosaic tropical fruit - I have always enjoyed your endeavours to make life more surreal in this mental institution posing as a forum.

I wholeheartedly understand your attitude to the affection and attention you have paid to this dear little corner of the intawebz and then confliction you have to actually go and do other stuff...

Just remember, in those moments of unguarded access to a computer and a net link ... you may relapse! Oh wait, am I meant to be in skool at this present time-space conjunction?

So toodle pip my bonny ol'rack of bananas! Just remember to keep passing the open windows since you obviously cannot fit through a normal portal! :msn-wink:

Welcome to the hotel california ... it's a lovely place ...

Fatt Max - you will be missed.

I sit here reading this with great sadness in my heart, and wiping a tear from my eye (the other eye being lost in the great crayoning disaster of 2003).

Today sir, I will ride to the bakery (30 meters from my office) and have a pie, no thats not enough, 2 pies (thats better) for lunch in your honor.

But I know, as I bite past that dry pastry, and in the jelly-meat that they call mince and cheese that it will bring me no joy, for they will be pies of sadness - whipped together by some Asian baker with a unhealthy interest in cats.

Other than that - best of luck with the new venture - and remember to let us all know when the album is out so we can all download it illegally (for that is the KB way)

ride safe

And lo the angels wept for their hearts were burdoned with great sorrow:innocent:.......

Yea right.....tui's?

How can you leave us like that FM, hell now what will we peruse for our entertainment???

I think a petition to keep FM chained to the journels of KB might be in order here.

Your stories are too good not to be told whether they be embellished a little or not.:jerry:

O an if I am ever travelling (god forbid) the same road as you and your frantically waving, I will get off the road ASAP and look for the crazy cager trying to kill you (can't miss a good photo op :) ):shit:

All the best FM in your adventures.:bye:

Awww Max.. We will miss you too.

You are so infamous in our house that every time one of our little ones sees another vl250 (or in our 4yr olds case any motorbike at all) they say....
"Ohhh is that Fatt Max???" Very very funny.

If your ever in Pukekohe please feel free to stop in for a cup of tea and a pie.
Cheers matey.
