My 2002 Raptor 650 needs a new chain and sprockets, so I went to Cycletreads this afternoon to enquire. The guy looked for a while, made some calls, and then told me they can't get a rear sprocket for it. None of their suppliers have it. Then I called Motomail when I get home, they also took a while, maybe half an hour or more, then came back to me with sorry, no aftermarket sprockets at all, none of the suppliers have it. However, they can get me the Cagiva OEM rear sprocket, but that will be $332. Thanks, but no thanks.

So my question is, will I have to order one in from overseas (either ebay (http://www.ebay.com) or wemoto (http://www.wemoto.co.uk)), or is there another sprocket that will be able to fit it? What have you Cagiva owners done in the past?

Thanks
Michael

I've heard of this happening before, the guy also had to buy offshore... Probably somewhere in Aus that has stock. Ill ask the old man if he wants to get one now (split the shipping cost?)

Sight unseen I dunno but ida thought they would be like a SV650 sprocket. Given thats the doner engine

How set are you on retaining the stock gearing? If you are not getting fussy of a few teeth hear and there it will be a lot easyer.

you need a 45 tooth 525 pitch sprocket with standard gearing.get a blank in that size, should be around $60.

take it to an engineer and get it machined using yours as a template.

while your at it,why not do a few, saves time and money and you could probably sell them on Trade Me lol

Talk to the guys at treads and ask for a blank 45 tooth 525 sprocket.
Just a thought though --good time to convert to 520
