I thought it was time that we do another Coro figure eight. Meet at Autobhann Papakura 08:30 for an 09:00 departure the route should see us take in Ramarama, Mangatatauphri, Miranda, Ngatea, Paeroa, Waihi, Whangamata, Hikuwai, Kopu, Thames, Coromandel, Whitianga, Coroglen, Tirua, Hikuwai, Kopu, Miranda, Kiauwa, Kawakawa Bay, Cleavdon. Lunch will be at either Coromandel or Coroglen. will meet up with Hamilturds and Te aroha Tards in Paeroa at about 09:45.

I just thought that I would jump in and remind you all that I have the meke trailer and secure alarmed storage should the worst happen to any one on your ride.

The first stage anyway. Mainly to catch up with you guys. Haven't seen yas in ages.

I'll come down to Paeroa, Waihi. Whangamata, Hikuia to Kopu then head off then.
Have to work Saturday and have a few things on Sunday arvo but want to catch up with some of the old faces even for a little bit eh :)

Love to do the whole thing but with 40 plus riders I wouldn't be home till 6.00pm at the earliest doing a figure 8. Shit... I'll miss the best bits aye :(

Came down to Whangamata yesterday pleased to say no road works between Kopu & Whanagamata. As for the weather it started raining about 9pm and stopped about 10am this morning, still overcast but at least the rain stopped.

Had to leave after round one because of prior commitments but enjoyed my run, especially from Waihi to Whangamata following Saul and DMNTD.

Cheers guys/gals for today , was a loverly pootle , got to see some familiar faces and meet some new friends.
Had to shoot and see my sister in Thames.
Ended up cruising home with Steelrider and hortona( both have awesome old school bikes , gs1000 and fj1100 , and their mate Mike on the 955i.
Who was the chick on the vtr? She did an awesome job on the little beast. ( good on ya)

why not, i attended the second one.

pathos and i were waiting at a bridge, i followed a ambulance through cause i was sick of waiting, it had its lights on.
after a while, i got sick of it going so slow, so i passed it, and then a few km down the road i spotted a oddly parked VT750.
sure enough, the old fella had gone down, so i spent the next 70k chasing his son down, who was way out in front, i found him in whiti, which was a shames, cause its a long way back over the hills (unless you take the 309)

I used to go to school with a guy who was nicknamed meat head. . he actually rode bikes and had a rectangle head, and was quite prone to taking major hits to the head without any effect. .. hence the nickname.

Looking at photos and videos ,I'm filing bit jealous that I couldn't come for ride. Every weekend this sumer I go for ride but today I had to put my family first , so I done "Round the bays " 8 km run with my wife and 5 kids , it was fun and something different but not as much as riding bike . Most of time I had to carry my kids on my shoulders so I fill like bike today and my kids had ride ,
it make me respect my bike lot more as it had to carry me for 1000 km every weak. I'm lucky my wife didn't ask me for ride.
Hope to catch up with you all some other time.

She went fine. Sensible rider, riding within limits at a good speed, seemed to have a good time, had people to ride with, ALL GOOD!

Unfortunately the 250 didn't quite match up with the callibre of bikes out there yesterday. Didn't have the same "oompf" when letting the throttle out. I managed to get myself stuck behind a few cars in the twisties - need a bit more room to get past them than you lot.

But have to start somewhere aye! :scooter:

A fantastic day guys, thanks a lot, although I cant say I saw many over the Inland side AS PLANNED. Sorry I didnt get to talk to a lot of you spent most the day riding which was bloody great. My tyres are at the end of their life, and I hate pee metal, so was a bit slow apologies to those I held up a bit.

the guy who fell off is ok, he actually went wide and hit a car, gave the car a flattie, scraped up the car, bent the frame on his bike via bending the footpeg.
he broke his foot, thats it.
