I thought you didn't get "chances" when you were out on bail?

"Gee, you've stuffed up, gosh, how many times - three, four, I lose count. But I think that deep down [maybe about six feet deep] you are a decent young fella so I'm going to give you ONE last chance... and then if you appear before me again, maybe ONE MORE chance..."

What a fuckwit. Judge and offender both.

Have to feel for the coppers really all the time and resources that go into arresting these guys just for the Justice system to fuck it all up.

hes not on bail...hes on parole...bit of a difference, one is before you are committed/sentenced for a crime (bail) and one is the restrictions you face when you leave prison (parole)....but all the same "watch this space" all he learnt on the inside were the skills to succeed......

That's 'fuckwits', plural. Oh, and don't forget the lawyer, he pleads on behalf of his client (in exchange for money) probably knowing in his heart what's going to happen.

Watch this space.

No comment on the Judges decision [not having all the information]. However, the offenders behaviour outside of the court where he pulled his shirt over his head and gave the fingers too the press speaks volumes about his attitude. Odds on he will trip up again and spend some more time inside.

When he was locked up for the killing, he was singing in his cell at the Howick cop shop. This one doesn't give a shit. He will be headlines again.... For all the wrong reasons.

I was thinking just the same thing - you can tell the scum who just dont care.

Its like the mad bitch who was barking at the judge in court last week.

Obviously this guy has made no progress about turning his life around. Sadly I'm with the others who think he will kill again.

Come Rodney / ACT - lets get that three strike rule going. Then change it down to two, then one and lock the bastards away forever.

As an aside.

When I was young (13) - our neighbor had a kid (11) - we played after school etc.

Kid started going nuts (yeah - at age 11) - and attacked by brother.

Had all sorts of issues with them - our parents did everything they could get us away from him.

Social Welfare, the school (including the PTA etc) all said we had to give the kid a chance.

I only found out yesterday (I had moved overseas at this point) that he turned into a killer - the signs were there from a early age - just like the kid in this thread.

WHY, WHY give people like this a second chance.

p.s. I know that the murder I am referring to is old - but given that I was a childhood friend and next door neighbor to him - I'm quite upset / disgusted.

"Tichena Crosland, 3 years old, was taken by CYF's from the care of her mother Moana Whakamarurangi and given into the care of her father, David Crosland three months before she died of traumatic head injuries and with a badly damaged vagina. David Crosland was found guilty of murder, but not rape."

Fuck me - just looking him up (David Crosland). It seems that his elder brother Shane (who we also lived next door to) also murdered someone (as a black power prospect).

I dont know if its behavior or breeding - but FFS.

Makes me sick to the pit of my stomach.
