Hey guys! I have run a few searches and can't seem to find a thread that I am looking for so I will make a new one. I am very interested in getting into some track racing and I have been for a while. I have heard a little about formula 3 and I think this is where I want to be. I am interested in buying and racing a VFR400 or RGV250 in this grade.

So... where do I start? I would like to know how much it all costs to get signed up and to get going. Also how often I would get to race. I already have all the gear (leathers, back protector etc.) and a van with a trailer. I was interested in starting out on RG150 bikes for racing, but I don't think I would enjoy it as much after taking my R6 to a few track days now. Also, if I am going to be blowing all the money I don't have on racing, I want to do it right!!!

Basically I would just like any tips, advice, websites, contact numbers, or just anything that could help me! I have money to buy a race bike and a fair bit of motorbike mechanical knowledge for when I crash - which I plan on doing (or should I say expecting...?) - and need to fix my bike up. I just don't want to bin my R6 and track days aren't letting me push it to my limit because of that!! (Check my videos at http://www.youtube.com/user/IPhantomLordI where you can see I keep my riding to a certain, very safe level).

Cheers guys and gals!

Wrong attitude bro !!
ya get hurt doin that shit !
1/ PM duke girl and get ya vic membership done
2/ go to www.mnz.co.nz and have a read of rules, classes etc then get yr race licence underway soon, so ya can race in the actrix (http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/showthread.php?t=92197&highlight=nationals) series ! ( you need to know what classes your gonna race in, so ya get ya race number sorted for them classes) sounds like yr keen on F3 so get a number for F3 and post classic pre 89 as i do hear the posties is a fun class !
3/ find yaself a bike
4/ change ya attitude to falling off (noone wants you binning in front of them)
Stay upright bro it's a lot more fun !
