Not as impressive as the time machine that landed a TR 6 in wartime Germany.....
It would have been a hard stunt on an R75 or R71 beemer ;)

There's a nice raised wooden one lane bridge east a bit where it's not hard to get a bit of air between the wheels and the deck at a fairly moderate pace.
Had one local but that's been removed due to "improvements" sniff! sniff!

I thought it was common knowledge that Bud Ekins didn't jump over a 7 foot fence - he set it up so the ramp was only a couple of feet below the fence. He didn't so much jump up and over a 7 foot fence, but just jumped down a 7 foot fence.Watch the movie footage again, you don't see him go up any ramp,it's below the hill - all you see is him clear the fence and land.
I also question using a Rickman Metisse instead of a Triumph - they are world's apart. The Rickman is a natural jumper, the Triumph would land like a block of flats.
You can buy a Rickman on TradeMe today - be in!

Unfortunately I am racing against a Mettise next month , There isnt enough bikes of the era here to separate them into different classes so it gets called thunder four stroke , and there are 2 mettisess running ,,, So it becomes a race with in a race, My enfield is like an automatic ,,,its got a lot of torque , BUT ,,,it WILL jump ,,,ANYTHING will go UP ....but it nose dives , so you have to keep the power on and really man handle it ,,,, the Mettise is tail happy ... and lighter ,,,,,:angry2:
Still I win in the sound stakes , NOTHING sounds as nice as an angry full blodied single ,,,, on heat ,,,,
