Hi,

Is it possible to fit one of these on a 2001 GSX-R 1000? Or would it be too much work etc. I realise that you can fit anything to anything given enough money, but if it's going to cost significantly more to get it sorted then it's really not worth it.

I've searched the internet and it doesn't appear anyone has fitted them on anything that's older than ~2005.

Any input appreciated.

Should be able to work fine. YamahaR64life has one from a ZX10R on his R6.

If you get one for the K5 gixxer 1000 you should be sweet, if you need an intermediate pipe to connect it up I can't imagine it cost more the $100.

Check this out (http://cgi.ebay.com/Suzuki-GSXR-600-750-1000-2T-R-Moto-GP-exhaust-can_W0QQitemZ220318036501QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Mot orcycle_Parts?hash=item220318036501) - much cheaper and will give you the same result - a fuck off loud pipe that looks just as cool.

You do realise how loud these are on a 1000cc bike at anything over 2000rpm dont you?

You can fit almost anything to anything. Chris Mitchell MC in Taupo did a stunning job of fitting a Two Brothers Racing can off an '02 SV650 to my K7 GSX1400, for instance, and it only involved a couple hours of labour.

I say go for it. The Racefit growlers are fookin mean.

I wouldn't do it, as it seems i'm old and not the fun guy i used to be, they are too loud.
